Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers a vegan menu that is clearly marked. Rotating specials also include many vegan items. Nearly half the menu is vegetarian, and virtually all vegetarian items can be made vegan by subbing vegan cheeses or sauces. Website has very helpful descriptions of these modifications. Fried items are fried separately from meats. Open Tue-Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm.

Lots of options, good service

Sandwiches, nachos, vegan specials. We go here every time we're in Indy. Kid has to get the nutty burger every time, ive had a handful of things on the menu and have always been pleased.

Lots of options

Loads of vegan and vegetarian options and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service is mediocre at best. I was there when it was pretty slow and my server never came back to check on things, nor was the hostess paying attention. I finally had to get up to find someone.

Pros: Lots of vegan options - delicious, Good beer options, Dog friendly outside

Cons: Poor service

Separate Vegan Menu!

Ask the host/ess or server and they will provide you with an all-vegan menu. The seitan is wonderful and the beer is fantastic too.

Chicken is vegan?

Went to this place because they had vegan options and I was eating with non-vegans. I ordered the “Welcome Vegan Race Fans” tenderloin which was a vegan chickn sandwich. When it came it looked like actual fried chicken so I used my knife to scrape off the breading and it was actual dead chicken 🤮 I stopped the server and said “This is supposed to be vegan” and he said “Oh yeah we ran out of that” REALLY???
Also service was sloooowww and they messed up my moms dessert order - ran out of what she ordered but never told her so we waited around forever 🤦🏽‍♀️

A bunch of options

Stopped in here with my two daughters. There were multiple options to choose from. I enjoyed the vegan breakfast sandwich while my daughters loved the seitan tenders.

So good!

I have gone to this pub multiple times before becoming vegan. It is one of the places I would go to after work with co-workers because it's only a block away from my job. I recently was there and had gotten the three carrots Ruben with vegan cheese. I will say I was not disappointed! Loved it and will be going back for that Sammy and their delicious beer!

Best vegan sloppy joe in town!

I adore this place, it has many Vegan options (and they're Door Dashers compatible! Heck yeah!). They also have some of the best onion rings I've ever had the pleasure of sampling. Can't speak for the alcohol (I don't partake myself) but for a brewpub they've got the right idea when it comes to vegan food!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Unique vegan options, Low stress environment

Cons: Serves alcohol, Non-vegan options

Great food, beer & atmosphere!

I will definitely be going back to this place! I usually eat very healthy, but as a treat... I had the Vegan Fish & Chips... & it was delicious! If not wanting fried food, there are other options available, too. The beer is also very, very good. I failed to ask if their beer is vegan, but since they brew it on-site I’m sure someone will know if you ask them. The service was incredible!
The atmosphere is very cool— designed in the style of an old English pub, with awesome old big-band & jazzy music playing in the background. They also have outdoor seating for the warmer months.
Loved the whole experience! My non-vegan friends were super happy, too!

Pros: variety of veg-options, tasty beer, great atmosphere & service

Cons: somewhat limit parking

One of my favorites!

This is definitely one of my favorites in Indy, and one that I often go to if I'm eating with omnivores. Everyone always seems to leave happy! The menu's V icon is for vegetarian, but their online menu separates vegan items and let's you know what you should sub to make a vegetarian item vegan.

The onion rings are vegan and amazing! The vegan fish and chips are so good - I'm thankful that they thought of the little things, like making a vegan tartar sauce too. I've had lots of their vegan items, but it's hard to pass up the fish and chips.

When my vegan parents are in town they eat lunch here literally every day!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good mixed drinks

Cons: Parking can be a challenge, Service is not always the quickest

Great pizza!

This place has tons of vegan options from pasta to burgers to nachos. I had the pizza with vegan mozzarella and it was excellent. Great beer selection too!

Best vegan pub food ever!

Broad Ripple Brewpub has the best vegan pub food (and largest selection) I have ever had! Indiana's first brewpub is an establishment that knows a thing or two about vegan food. The menu has so many options of vegan as-is or easily veganizable dishes. I ordered the vegan fish and chips. It came with 3 giant pieces of firm tofu coated with a light beer batter breading (of course the beer was brewed on site) and deep deep fried. The chips were thick cut pieces of potato that were perfectly salted and the vegan tartar sauce was phenomenal. The side of quinoa tabouli was the perfect pairing with this heavy dish. Broad Ripple is a must if you're in Indianapolis!

Pros: Excellent food, Clearly Labelled (vegan), Friendly Staff

Cons: Parking

A great place for a mixed (veg and non-veg) crowd. Their seitan nuggets are super tasty! And their prices are extremely reasonable. :)

Great place for a beer & pretzel

If you are venturing out trying to discover Indianapolis this Broadripple area of town, along with the brewpub is a real gem. Its set along a nice bike path, 3 Sisters Vegetarian restaurant & a natural grocery store and right down the street, too. Its fun to walk around this area and over on the main drag of town. The beer selection is decent, I expected a bit more, but had a good tip. There is outdoor seating and the pretzels are vegan.

Pros: vegan pretzel, neat part of town

Plenty of vegan options...

The server was very helpful. He came back with a list of what's vegan, making ordering quite easy. I went with a mushroom and roasted pepper wrap which was great. My partner had the falafel sandwich which has a underwhelming and dry. The price seemed a little steep, but then again, I'm still adjusting to American prices... About $8-9 for a wrap/sandwich.

Overall, though, I was glad to have clearly marked options.

Pros: many choices, clearly marked

Cons: hit and miss food

I go here usually once a week!

This is my omni husband and my favorite spot! They have great brews (last time I asked, they were ALL VEGAN!) and great food. I have tried just about every veg item on the menu, plus the specials, and have only not liked maybe 1 or 2 things. They've changed their menu since this info tab was created, they no longer have the vegan shepherd's pie, but they have plenty of other options. They always seem super knowledgeable about the menu. One example: there are certain things on the menu that come with bread, and if you order something that happens to be vegan, they usually ask if you want vegan bread. If you see the Mediterranean Stuffed Peppers on special, GET THEM (minus the cheese on top if you're vegan). Servers can be a bit slow, but I don't mind at all, it's all part of the awesome laid-back atmosphere! The inside bar area is super dark, but it doesn't typically bother me. If you are seated inside by the dart-throwing area, it can get noisy. Also, seating can be cramped inside. I've taken all sorts of people here, and have heard no complaints, other than it being dark. And the veg options are so yummy that my omni husband orders them quite often, especially the tacos, sloppy joe, and when the stuffed peppers are on special.

Pros: Delicious food, Great vegan beer, Knowledgeable servers

Cons: A little cramped, Super dark inside, Sometimes slow service

pretty good

We did have several vegan options, but there were a lot more vegetarian options than vegan. We had the shepherd's pie, which was decent but not great. We make a superior one at home. The dolmades were very yummy however. Service was ok. It's a pub so there a lot of beers on tap. I didn't see that they had them marked as vegan or not, however.

Pros: lots of vegetarian options, some vegan, lots of choice in beers

Cons: smokers congregating outside

Good variety of vegan options

I've been here a couple of times and have tried a new vegan option each time: shepherd's pie, sloppy joe's (have to ask for vegan bun) and a special menu item, the potato/spinach patty-thing with apple chutney sauce. I enjoyed everything. The shepherd's pie was really dense, and I wasn't that hungry at the time, so I would like to try it again sometime. When I ordered the sloppy joe's the waiter informed me the buns weren't vegan, and offered to serve it on a vegan bread. And the potato patties were a special of the week and you could tell they were made fresh--delicious. There were plenty of other options to choose from, which is nice and was unexpected. Service has always been fine. I would recommend this place. They have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, too.

Pros: plenty of vegan options, price, great taste

Favorite Indianapolis restaurant for vegan options

Many vegan options and the staff is well-informed about the ingredients. The weekly specials always include a vegetarian item. The kitchen will substitute items to veganize upon request. Reasonable pricing. Nice wait staff. The restaurant does not take reservations so you may be waiting a while on a Fri or Sat evening. Awesome beer - they brew it in house.

Pros: vegan options, nice staff, location

Cons: informal

Great Atmosphere, Tasty Food and Beer

I've been here quite a few times and have to say, I have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and familiar with menu items. They've helped me veganize menu-items before, even down to telling me which bread options contained animal products. Almost any of the vegetarian options can be made vegan by omitting cheese. They even carry Nayonnaise! The falafel is a bit dry. The portabella sandwich is delicious! The Lori's Favorite (hummus and veggies in a pita) is very tasty! The weekly specials usually include at least one vegetarian option. And I have not been disappointed with any yet!

The beer is great, too. Gotta love a good microbrew. If you're a beginner to beer drinking, they will give you samples of each on tap.

Pros: Friendly & Knowledgable Staff, Delicious Veg Options, Great Beer!

Cons: Most Veg. Options Have Cheese

Ick

My husband (a brit) and I went to Broadripple Brewpub in high hopes of a true British pub. It did not live up to our hopes. My Shepherd's Pie had no taste and no mashed potatoes! My husband said the falafel was not very tasty. It is a great place to go for beer and atmosphere, but we were very disappointed with the food!

Pros: Beer Cheese Crock, Beer, Atmosphere

Cons: Dinners
