Only go to when your starving - Edit
So the food was super expensive it was super bland. I got the cauliflower "steak" aka half a cauliflower it was just like something your grandma would make who just heard of veganism and wants to be nice. Gladly I also got some fries Wich should switch up the taste. But 19 euros for this boring thing is disgrace. I would never come back.
Read moreThe food other people posted on happycow are not even anymore on the menu. I have nothing to complain about the staff. But the food sucked ass.
JUST DONT GO!!!

Great vegan options - Edit
Many vegan options and the wine was clearly labeled as vegan. I ordered the vegan green Thai curry and it was quite good. My colleagues had the vegan tacos and they were surprised how good they tasted.

High prices, not very big portions - Edit
We liked that we got a glass of water upon our arrival at Brixton House. There are several nice vegan options, but they are quite expensive in comparison to other restaurants. The rather small portions don‘t make up for it.
Read moreThe food was good nontheless.
Note that Brixton House and Urban House belong together and have almost similar menues.
The vegan cheesecake was okay but not very creamy.
Pros: Food was good, Free water directly served
Cons: High prices (compared to other rest.), Rather small portions

Nice menu & restaurant - Edit
The place has a really nice interieur, the menu has clearly marked vegan options. The budda bowl is really nice & filling. The drinks are also nicely done. I find the cakes a bit expensive. The staff is also nice and helpful. Can really recommend in Bratislava.

Several vegan options, nice terrace - Edit
This restaurant offers several vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. The staff was very friendly, and my food came a lot faster than I expected. I assume this is a great restaurant to go to with non-vegan friends and family.

Tourist trap - Edit
We where warned by our tour guide who mentioned a couple of other vegan / vegetarian restauranta in the city. We didn’t listen and just went there anyway. It was definitively the wrong decision.
Read moreExtremly overpriced (close to 5€ for a small disgusting cola (redbull cola - mentioned as “simply” cola in the menu).
For that price the food was lower than average. We had the only vegan pizza on the menu - would rate 3/10 and the hummus plate 4/10
The location isn’t a price justification.

Great food and great vibe - Edit
I visited for breakfast and had avo toast and vegan lotus cheesecake. Both was great (though not the best in my life), also nice styling. Service was nice and quick, too. Great interior and vibe, I definitely want to visit again. It is spacious and can accommodate big groups. I did not like the music though, it was too loud.

Hummus - Edit
Delicious food with plenty vegan options. Had the Hummus and fried zucchini, both very tasty. Also try one of the cakes. The Oreo was amazing. Only downside is that it is quite pricey (eg 5€ for a price of cake).

Absolute best among non-vegan restaurants! - Edit
Brixton House is the latest instalment of the ‘Urban’ brand that is very well known to the locals for being rather polarizing. On the one hand, you have the ‘hipster’ camp that praises the brand for their urban (surprisingly 🤣) look, chilled atmosphere, and modern bistro-like dining experience. On the other hand, you have the group that considers this uninspiring, pretentious, and overpriced.
Read moreDepending on the camp you belong to, add or subtract a star from this review 😉 Here I am focusing on what matters the most, and that is the food itself.
Non-vegan restaurants usually either try to ‘cater’ vegans, or ‘serve’ vegans. Former referring to simply offering a vegan dish or two to be able to serve everyone who visits, the latter making a conscious effort to have a solid vegan offer that is well thought out, sizeable, and usually compromises an option from each course.
Brixton House certainly belongs to the latter and without making this review much longer then it already is, their food is simply fantastic! We tried almost everything from their menu and were not disappointed with a single item.
All dishes had something that made them stand out and be memorable (not in terms of the ‘wow’ factor but taste wise predominantly) and you could immediately see that whoever is preparing the dishes knows what he/she is doing.
Case in point is their hummus plate. Simple enough but the way it is put together (hummus is made with avocado for extra creaminess, and the vegetables is grilled on open fire with the most amazing charred, smoky flavor) makes you smile and go ‘hmmmm’ after every single bite – my wife will certainly concur 😁
Overall, Brixton is for non-vegan restaurants what Balans Bistro is for vegan ones. Absolute best in Bratislava, miles ahead of the competition and an absolute must if you want some delicious vegan food.
Pros: Delicious food, memorable flavors, Great selection, Menu changes regularly
Cons: Can become pricy if you come for drinks as well 😊

Interior and plating is the sauce over the great chefs restaurant. Here it is everything. Can't copy good cook from Instagram. Food is lacking any sense of umami or fine taste.
