Disappointed - Edit
Very disappointed. We stayed at the hotel and with limited restaurant options we had lunch and dinner there.
Read moreLunch-I had their black bean burger without the mayo. Turns out the bun is not vegan friendly to begin with plus they butter it. The server was able to get me some toast to replace the bun. He was wonderful.
Dinner- the only vegan option they had was a garden salad or to try and veganize the burger again.. they did have a special that was rice with veggies and ginger beef. I asked the one server (who brought us our menus) if it could be made vegan, when she came back to answer our server was there and told me my vegan option was the bean burger or the scallops without butter…
The first server then told me that the chef would try to veganize it with what she had but there seemed to be a some confusion about mayo as the dish came with different sides of slaw.
After that I was worried they didn’t truly understand what vegans eat and it was pretty busy so I just ordered the salad.
I saw other reviews on here about great vegan dishes they had, so perhaps I just caught them on a bad day.
I was fully expecting to have to order salad or fries being where I am. It’s the fact that their website advertises vegan options that was so disappointing because that certainly wasn’t my experience

Pleasant surprise - Edit
We expected to only find seafood, in pretty much the only restaurant on this island. But, they had a vegan squash soup and vegan tofu, with rice and veggies plate. $9 for the soup $26 for the main.

Pros: The ocean view , Squash soup was fantastic
Cons: On the pricey side, Most of the menu is seafood based

Amazing Vegan Food Where You Would Least Expect It - Edit
My wife and I were pleased to find out that not only did this restaurant have vegan options, but they rivaled vegan meals eaten in Montreal and Portland, OR. The chef even prepared us a completely vegan trio of appetizers that blew us away. Out in a place like this, we were prepared for our only option to be french fries. We were pleasantly surprised.
