Delicious Power Bowl - Edit
I had a Power Bowl with black rice, chick peas, cucumber, tomato, onions, salsa, cilantro, pickled onions, and cilantro lime sauce. It might be the freshest tastiest rice bowl I ever had. The sauce is usually the key to making most dishes taste good and that was the case here.

I got the black eyed pea burger and it was one of the best black bean burgers I've had. The other toppings, especially the sauce, were really good too.

Visiting from TX and this place is close to the airport (EWR). The bean burgers are great! Street parking is inexpensive if you're driving.

Read morei absolutely loved the chicken biscuit. the biscuit was perfection, and there's just some key memory that gets unlocked with hot lettuce on a sandwich. lulz. (my husband's opinions about the chicken biscuit, the biscuit was the star of the show. the chicken's flavor didn't stand out, but he liked the texture. and the slaw gave it a nice taste)
the pulled oats in the cheesesteak isn't really my thing, but my husband liked it. (i could clearly taste the oat flavor. i would try it again, but it would need to be slathered in BBQ sauce or something instead of simple like in the cheesesteak. it crisped up nicely, but didn't remind me of cheesesteak. the texture was much more fibrous than i would expect of a cheesesteak.) my husband really liked how the bread was soft on the outside and crispy on the inside. he liked the texture of the pulled oats., and the flavor of the cheese and ketchup mixed together. (i could take it or leave it)
the plantains were lovely. (the darker crispy ones were like candy)
the black eyed peas were basic but very flavorful. (maybe slightly too salty?)
the cookie was good! by the name on the menu, "chocolate macadamia nut cookie" i was expecting it to be a cocoa cookie with macadamias, but it was a chocolate chip cookie with macadamias in it. it was a tender type of cookie. mine had very few macadamias, but my husband's had a lot. he really liked how the combo of macadamia and chocolate chips played off of each other.
Pros: biscuit 100%, candy-like deep fried sweet plantains., (husband says cheesesteak, me, meh.)

We stopped on our way into NYC and the food was great- I had the chicken and biscuit with a side of black eyed peas. The biscuits were delicious and the black eyed peas were very flavorful. We would definitely come back.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to a hockey game at Prudential Center, which is only a block away. We had three different vegan burgers, all of which were great. The sides and drinks were also very good. Fast, friendly, vegan food!

Love it. I’ve been here many times and the food is always great. I’ve also brought here several non-vegan friends and they liked it. One friend is very carnivorous and had the black eyed peas burger and said “this is very good”. So that says something lol.

 I stopped in here recently for dinner. It’s a small fast food place. The people were nice and welcoming, and the service was fast. Parking was a bit of a challenge on the day I visited this place.

stopped by before the rutgers and seton hall game at prudential. the green smoothie i had tasted like candy. the banana combined with the agave did it i guess. the cheesesteak tasted really good. the cheese sauce was really good and i cant believe you can make steak like meat with pulled oats. they’re geniuses. the cookies i got were bomb too. pro tip: dip your cheesesteak into your coleslaw. also, bring cash to tip. their system doesnt let you tip with credit card.

The staff was so pleasant and shared details about the owner of this Black-owned business on the video screen playing. The name was changed by owner Adenah Bayoh to honor the NJ history of being a “brick city” architecturally speaking.
