Here Your Reservation Means Nothing - Edit
I had heard good things about this place from locals. I made special trip there to make a reservation for my Birthday - and discuss the vegan thing. When we arrived at the appointed time the place was packed and they escorted us upstairs, and sat us in a dark corner facing the wall and a nearby dirty window. The table was right up against the wall so my daughter and I had to sit side by side. In hind site - we should have made our Exit then and there as things only got worse. The waitress had to struggle to weave. and climb around the furniture to get to our table. We ordered wine and dinner. Within the next half hour this upstairs room became filled with a large boisterous crowd. The waitresses really had to struggle to reach our table. It was a miserable experience. We could not converse as it was far too noisy. I think the chef must have been aware of our predicament as he sent us a free plantain dessert, which was nice. The meal however was "so so" at best. Such a relief to finally depart from this place, but a struggle to get out of the corner we had been jammed into. Never Again

Cons: Ignored our reservation, Jammed into a depressing overflow area upstairs , Noisy and boisterous crowd right next to our table

Guava Jam and Plantains 😍 - Edit
So this place will work and make a vegan option for you. Service here is very nice and understanding. Told the server I was vegan and they offered to make the Cuba toast vegan with their specialty Guava jam. I also had a plate of beans, rice, and plantains. The food here is good and the staff was so patient. If you go, I’d recommend the guava jam which is fantastic! You can get it with some Cuban bread and it is amazing 😍
