The burger was good, but nothing special. Honestly, kinda pricey for what you get. It wasn’t bad, just not worth it for me

Kind of mediocre and pricy burger, but did the job. - Edit
Not a huge fan of Brew Dog but easy to just head there and know I'll get food while jetlagged. Nice staff that spoke English, quick service but the burger was by no means great.

Good burger - Edit
They only have 1 burger now (a beyond patty) but it was really tasty and quite fresh! We also ordered the steamed veggies, they were very cooked but we didn’t mind.

Only ONE Veg / Vegan Main option - Edit
Brewdog usually offer a good selection of Veggie and Vegan dishes, but unfortunately it seems like the menu has changed to now only offer one solitary vegan / vegetarian main dish (a beyond meat burger and fries) and a few sides. Several vegan beer options are however available. The food is fine but a little overpriced for what you get. Bit of a shame!

Fewer options - Edit
It seems the menu has been changed, and now there are very few vegan options - just one burger and a couple of sides. No Buffalo cauliflower to be seen. There is still a two for one vegan special on Mondays, though, which is nice.

Not the vegan haven I was expecting - Edit
Ordered the beyond burger, it arrived with a tablespoon of bland coleslaw and I had to douse it in ketchup to counter the dryness. Fries were good, would probably just order those if I were visiting with carni friends as it expensive for such poor quality

Good vegan options - Edit
Not as many options as it says above, like no vegan hotdogs. Had two burger options Clucky this Time and Beyond meat burger both yummy and Superfood salad with fries. Superfood salad good but dressing a little sweet for my taste. Fries tasted a little strange, probably the oil that was used to fry them in. Staff were very good, friendly and informative. Would recommend. Very central location not far from Starbucks Roastery.

Yum Vegan Burgers - Edit
We ordered the Beyond Meat and Clucky This Time Burgers, and Avocado and Feta Salad. The burgers are delicious, the beetroot buns are just as yummy as the patties. The salad is a bit sweet tho for me. They got Vegan options but no pizza options as in the description of this restaurant. I would come back here whenever I am in Shanghai but it would be exciting if they would have some cauliflower pizza next time.

4 stars because of number of vegan options - Edit
BrewDog is awesome, I’m personally not the biggest on burgers bc I feel they’re too heavy but what a great way to make a place friendly for everyone! It’s casual and chill, pretty central in Shanghai and great prices on their Zrou burgers, make sure to double check with the wait staff that the sauces in your burger are the vegan ones. Would recommend!

Great space, yummy food - Edit
There was a whole list of vegan/vegetarian that can be made vegan burgers plus cauliflower wings.
Read moreI tried the Cauliflower burger and it was great.
They make it with a beetroot brioche bun which was toasted to perfection.
The cauliflower in the burger was battered and overall a very good choice.
The chips that come with the burger were some of the best I’ve had in Shanghai. Crispier than normal, and I think they may have been beer battered but I’m not certain.
I also had an apple cider which was amazing as well.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Big space, Great food

Caulifornication - Edit
I've got to say I wasn't expecting much when my vegan friends suggested trying Brewdog for their burgers but we were all pleasantly surprised. Firstly the place is huge with a nice interior, a choice of high backed booths and other seating, we chose a booth. We tried the Kungfu Zrou & the Clucky This Time plus a large portion of cauliflower wings to share. The burgers were both very different and fresh, the fries too were great but the cauliflower stole the show, nice big pieces in crispy batter with a tasty sauce. I've been back 3 more times and tried the Vegan Buffalo burger which is fantastic, this may be my favourite place for burgers in Shanghai. You can add 3 cauliflower wings to your burger order for 29rmb and they do 2 for 1 vegan burgers on Mondays. The music selection was great too.

Cons: Serves meat & dairy.
