Moody manager

A group of 16 vegans booked here for the all you can eat seitan wings Wednesday. We told them in advance that we were all vegan and all wanted wings. Some of the group were trying to beat the 28 wing record. They brought us 8 first which we all ate and asked for a top up (they bring you 5 on a top up). The manager came over to say that this was our last portion because they had ran out of seitan/cauliflower wings. She was reluctant to act like this was a problem because we paid £13 for wings and would usually only get 8 for that price. She seemed to totally miss that a lot of us wouldn't have ordered this option if we knew there was a limit. She reluctantly gave us a discount but was huffy and sulky at us, as if we'd been rude customers for requesting a discount. The wings and mayo were really plain, wouldn't rush back.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Expensive , Rude manager

Don't bother

Ironically, one of the reasons I chose to come here was because they had a Vegan Monday offer, which would have been great with more vegan options. You're fine if you just want the burger or wings without any green. I ordered their House of Seitan wings with a side order of smashed cucumber, partly to see what that was like and partly because the house salad came with tomatoes and peppers, which I have immune problems with. Anyway, they were out of cucumber, so I asked if I could have one of their big salad bowls but with the seitan rather than chicken (the salad bowl options were either chicken or cheese-based, no vegan option at all, which was strange). Rather than saying no, the manager tried to make it about how the grills for the salad ingredients weren't vegan (which was not really an issue, because the whole thing was that I didn't want the chicken). He got very defensive and quite rude, challenging me about whether I was actually a vegan if I was prepared to eat an adapted non-vegan dish. Anyway, I ended up with avocado on the house salad, which was nice enough. The experience was totally spoiled by the manager's aggression,. though. Plus the vegan choice isn't good enough to make me want to go back. I'll save House of Seitan urges for the next time I'm in London...

Pros: House of Seitan wings, Avocado swap for salad, 2-4-1 on vegan/veggie mains on Mondays

Cons: Really rude manager, No vegan salad option

Over priced average food.

The chicken wings are tasty but that's about it. The beyond burger was smothered in over the top dressings, salad and cheese so you couldn't taste the burger. Its incredibly expensive for what you get. The same burger is half the price in other city bars. They don't even serve chips with the burger, its an extra 3.50 for a small portion of french fries.

Pros: Nice outdoor seating

Cons: Over priced, not cooked well
