[Closing on May 13th!!! Book a table asap!!]

The new seasonal menu is fantastic. Specially the Arlette millefeuille is amazing.
They are back to my list of favorite restaurants in Paris. :)

-----------------------

We visited brEAThe again before they change their menu. Last time we really liked their burger and gnocchis; so this time we decided to try the other two main dishes: the oyster mushroom risotto and the focaccia.

To be honest, we were disappointed. The risotto was just ok taste-wise; and we found the focaccia to be tasty but very overpriced (17€) for what it was: focaccia bread with pesto and a few slices of vegetables on top. If I had another suggestion to make, it would be to make it a bit smaller and move it to the appetizer menu.

We also had the poached pear, which was yummy!
As before, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I know there will be changing their menu soon; so I'll keep an eye on it. In the meantime, I'd highly recommend to have only the gnocchis and the burger (and any of the desserts).

If you want to read my original review, please scroll down. :)

Previous review from my first visit

We visited brEAThe for lunch.
We tried as many dishes as we could: eryngii croustillants, burger, gnocchi, millefeuille and crème brulée. :)

Everything was delicious! Special mention for the gnocchi and the millefeuille.
We also had the café viennois which comes with a very nice homemade whipped cream.

The service was quick, and the staff was polite and friendly. On top of all of that, the interior is probably the nicest one among all vegan places in Paris.
Just FYI, the word "vegan" is not written anywhere in he menu, but rest assure everything is vegan!

If I could recommend them something, it would be to try using organic ingredients for the food. But that's just me being picky. :)

In any case, it's so great there's another quality vegan restaurant in town. It won't probably be long before we visit again.

Exciting menu

Excellent diverse menu and lovely staff. You do get a deep sense of the care the French take with food. One of the best in Paris.

C’était super, both the food and service

I’d booked elsewhere that ended up being closed so I arrived without a reservation. The server opened the door for me (because I have to embarrass myself everyday not being able to open doors somewhere) and welcomed me to a table. It recommended you choose 3 or 4 dishes each and share. I chose 3 dishes, the Vietnamese soup, the bao and the mushrooms on a skewer. They weren’t huge servings which worked well for me. All of them were excellent. The mushrooms had a lot of flavour and the soup broth was really nice. The bao was perfect. I decided to order tea and a dessert, a brownie mochi. The brownie was delicious, perfect flavour and I liked the chewy texture.

The service was incredible. I didn’t feel awkward being on my own and I never felt abandoned even through the restaurant was busy and the server was managing the tables on their own.

It’s a nice place visually too. One of my favourite dinners in Paris

Incredibile!

Really lovely place, friendly staff, nice wine. Food came really quickly and was all very fresh and we'll prepared. Would like to see some more items added to the menu but that's a minor issue. The Sichuan seitan was particularly good!

Delicious Japanese food

I had a ramen soup with 3 or 4 different mushrooms in it + tempeh and vegan omelet. Very tasty.
My friend had the umeboshi makis (best than any maki I tried before) and the noodle soup with roasted pumpkin (delicious).
We also tried the litchi mochi and the mochi cake. The litchi mochi was perfect.
And the litchi and coco lemonade, very good.
Beautiful place with very nice staff.
I strongly recommend.

Pros: 100% vegan, Delicious Japanese food. , Friendly staff.

Interesting restaurant.

I attended here with my boyfriend for Valentines. The cocktails were amazing but the food was not to our taste. The dishes were very experimental and had strange textures. The staff were extremely friendly hence the three stars, but it is not somewhere I would personally recommend.

Good but not great

The decoration of the inside is awesome. However the food and drinks were good but not great, as we expected for the price. We've been to Breathe Montorgueil and we much preferred it.

Pros: Deco, Drinks

Cons: Expensive

A little disappointing

We were looking forward for our dinner here just because of the overall ratings for this place. Sadly, the size of the portions are really small. In my opinion, too small. I wasn’t satisfied after 3 tapas. And, just from my experience with Asian fusion kitchen, I think I definitely had better experiences. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that it doesn’t taste good, I just know from experience, that it can be much better. Staff is very friendly and the interior is appealing.

Pros: All vegan, Friendly staff, Nice interior

Cons: (Too) Small portions, Expensive

Vegan delight!

Warm, friendly service, and fabulous food and drinks. My (non-vegan) partner and I enjoyed our evening here immensely! We'd definitely come again, and would recommend to all to try whether vegan or not. The panko seitan and tsukune balls were a highlight! Delicious! It is on the expensive side but we thought it was worth every penny for a very enjoyable dinner.

Pros: Amazing, friendly service , Great options , English menu

Cons: Drinks are pricey (though very nice)

Really tasty.

A really nice selection of delicious and imaginative dishes. Service is great and staff are really friendly. Loved the decor and feel of the place. Favorite dish for me was Tsukuné Balls. Three dishes per person was enough and could just about squeeze in a dessert.

Pros: Imaginative Dishes, Great location., Excellent service.

Cons: We only visited twice

I can hardly say it is reasonably priced

The food was not bad but not so sure it was worth 30 euros for a brunch menu. (Meal & dessert served at the same time). Personally I prefered the other Breathe restaurant in Montorgueil. I liked the Gaspacho soup though.

Very nice looking restaurant in a street of Paris. Food was good, but insanely pricey for what you get. Portion sizes were very small, except for the rolls.

Pros: Tasty, Interesting menu, Cozy location, lots of seating

Cons: Expensive , Small portions

A good moment

I enjoyed the experience of tasting a variety of small Asian dishes, plus a dessert (fried mochi). Everything was good, but I must say the high prices don't match the originality of the menu, I just expected to be more surprised. One time was enough to discover everything the restaurant has to offer.

Pros: All vegan, Overall savoury, Nice staff

Cons: Dishes lack some veggies , Expensive, Servings could be slightly bigger

From fine dining to deep fried generic food

I already miss the old team and concept in their Pigalle location. Now, the menu has changed, but the prices remained! Unfortunately, the new concept is very generic, created to be served fast. And there is nothing left of the sophistication and originality of the old menu. There's a 70 per cent chance I won't go there again - I can eat salted edamame and deep fries ravioli in cheaper place

Pros: Very kind and helpful waiter, Vegan alcohol

Cons: Expensive , Deep fried generic food, Quite stuffy in the restaurant

Delicious vegan dim sum, cocktails and desserts!

We ordered almost the entire menu and did not regret it! Everything was amazing. We got the dessert in a glass and the fried mock for dessert which were amazing but very filling after a big meal so would suggest you share!

Sophisticated asiatic vegan restaurant near Pigalle

So many changes for the Breathe brand.
Opened in September 2018 in Pigalle, this bistronomic restaurant has decided to open in Montorgueil to revolutionize Asian cuisine at the end of October 2021.
And now, the concept and decoration of Breathe Pigalle has been revised to offer these two concepts:
- Pigalle: Otsumami & Cocktail bar
- Montorgueil: Izakaya & Maki bar

In Pigalle, the decorator from Montorgueil has put all her talent into redecorating Pigalle with beautiful colors in shades of red, brown, black and white, the identity of Breathe.

I was able to taste very good cocktails, very original and hearty dishes in a perfect atmosphere.

The association with the company @lepapondu makes it possible to have Cantonese rice!

In short, an essential place in Paris from a brand that has made good progress in offering a type of cuisine that was lacking in Paris.

5 star food, lively atmosphere, friendly service

I went to Breathe on a Friday night (reservation was made on their website and quickly confirmed).
Staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick.
We ordered a cocktail each and 6 dishes to share between 2 people. Each dish was delicious with Alain component and delicious sauce garnishes (I particularly loved the apricot miso that comes with the fried tofu, my partner loved the peanut sauce which comes with the nems). Highly recommend the raviolis! Left feeling full despite the dishes appearing small. This place is on the pricier side but the tastes and quality justify it.

Only let down was all the flies on the wall!
