beautiful, tasty, perfect - Edit
Edit (june 2020)
Read moreAfter the covid 19 pandémic, restaurants in France are still not allowed to reopen but can provide food deliveries and I wanted to support BrEAThe. We ordered the sunday brunch menu and it was amazing, as always. The Bao bun was so tasty! And the desert too.
Edit (january 2020)
As usual, everything was perfect and so good. I really enjoy eating at BrEAThe as the quality is still the same. Each dish is very creative and I love how they re-invent their menu.
Edit (oct 2019)
We went back with a friend and as usual, we were amazed by the presentation of the plates, the flavors and the staff! Definitely my favorite vegan address in Paris. Can’t wait to try the new card!
*************
We went to BrEAThe Restaurant yesterday night (may 2019) and I was so looking forward to try their food.
The staff was super kind, helpfull and funny.
The food is amazing and delicious with a lot of different textures and flavour.
The arancini were killer! Soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside.
The pesto tartine with candied lemon was incredible (the flavours combine so well) as the sautéed small spelt.
After the starter plate we shared and 2 mains, we were already full but the temptation of the great desserts was too strong.
We tried to frozen Snickers (the caramel was so flavorfull) and the Entremet.
The Entremet with Hibiscus mousse, rhubarb and sponge cake was everything. So delicate, with subtle and amazing flavour combinations and soft. The best vegan dessert I ever had.
We will combe back, for sure, to try the new card. Thank you !
Moelleux a l'intérieur, croustillants à l'extérieur.
Pros: amazing food, great staff, beautiful location

My favorite vegan restaurant in Paris - Edit
Amazing pastries and always discovering new dishes here. All are well presented and with delicious cocktails. The lunch menu changes every week which keeps me wanting to come back to see what they made each time. Combination of flavors is always surprising and the staff is very kind.

Wow! - Edit
This was the best food that I ate in Paris. The restaurant was very busy and there was no room for me at first. The staff were so friendly and they managed to get me a seat at the bar. The food was incredible and this was the only place that I was able to find vegan macarons in Paris. I was not disappointed. I will be back if I’m ever in Paris again.

Very good food and friendly staff - Edit
This feels like a sophisticated place, well designed and a classic interior. The menu is very good. The food tasted very good (except, personally, I find French food far too delicately flavoured).
Read moreThe portion sizes are far too small and given vegan food tends to be less calorific, they should consider increasing their portion sizes.
Friendly, attentive and thoughtful staff who will make you feel welcome and looked after.
Pros: Good for a special occasion , Excellent staff

Good refined food (the burger seemed a bit out of place among the rest of the dishes). I opted for the Winter Aumônière filo pastry stuffed with parsnip, mushroom and feta cheese. Followed by a stunning rum baba for dessert.

Many good reviews so decided to try it out but we were disappointed. Although the service was friendly, the burger and falafel - croquette we had was all very bland tasting and quite boring to be honest. Too bad, seemed promising.

One the best in Paris - Edit
Very good and tasty restaurant in Paris! I brought some people who are not vegan and they just loved it as well. Standard higher than average in this place and a large offer of cocktails, organic wines and beers. The staffs are amazing and really helpful (we went there during the strike and we were all late, they were really understanding).

Trying a new place for another burger - Edit
Read some good reviews for this restaurant and wanted to try another not fast food burger. Nice deco but for the rest, the service and the burger, this was not a good experience. The burger was edible, but for a restaurant like this, I expected something way more tasty. Expensive too.

Sunday brunch mixed impressions but generally disappointed - Edit
We ate here for Sunday brunch. Arrived as it opened. We were warmly welcomed and were taken to our table right at the back of the restaurant close to the toilettes. Space was tight as all the tables near us filled up within no time at all.
Read moreWe both chose the brunch as did the other people around us. The service to our table was incredibly quick, a little too quick. We were surprised to be served the mountain of pancakes with hot chocolate sauce at the same time as the croque monsieur which was served obviously warm. We could only eat one plate at a time thus leading us to have the second dish, the croque monsieur cold. The pancakes were ok but not as light and fluffy as I would have hoped. The croque monsieur unfortunately cold by time of eating had no vegan cheese in it. The sandwich comprised of sautéed leeks and a slice of sweet potato. The leeks and sweet potato were well seasoned but not enjoyable cold. The bread was too hard and I gave half of mine to my husband, however the the small potatoes were just great and the herb mayonnaise was delicious.
For dessert we had a carrot cake with whipped violet cream. Very pretty to look at, yet unfortunately extremely heavy in cream and the violet cream in my opinion just spoiled the cake. I ate less than half of it and so did the two people on the next table.
During the whole experience we felt rushed, once on plate nearly got removed before my husband had finished his food. This is the first time ever in a restaurant that we have had just one hour to sit, eat and leave. The restaurant is extremely popular and was completely full. It was obvious by the way we were rushed through the whole brunch was to make way for a second sitting.
We would have liked to have spoken with the staff before we left, but in front of a restaurant full of people and staff that were rushed off their feet we felt uncomfortable so left.
We chose this restaurant because of the very positive reviews from Foodies we follow that have always given great recommendations.
We would like to go back and try this place again because the lunch options we saw being served really did look amazing, however I would not recommend or go for brunch here again.
Pros: Friendly staff, Nice decor
Cons: Rushed service serving two hot dishes at a time, Noisy, little space at back of restaurant , Quite expensive
Ricardo
Hello Maria,
Read moreI've been to brEAThe several times, so this is just to say that I have pretty much the same feedback about the brunch (I was there last Sunday too). However, in our case, they told us in advance we had just one hour, so we knew we had to eat quickly. :)
In any case, I hope you manage to try the dishes from their regular menu; because they are fantastic!
MariaLedoux
Hi Ricardo,
Read moreThank you for your message and your opinion about the brunch and the regular menu. In our case we were not told that we had to eat within an hour, however as the restaurant is open until 3, I assumed there would be a possible second sitting, but to be rushed to this extent, we could not relax at all and for a restaurant, so called bistronomique, I feel they do not live up to the expectations when it comes to the food served for brunch and the time allowed to eat, if we had known prior to this that we would need to eat that quickly, we would have either chosen to eat from the regular menu (question being does the same pressure apply for this menu on Sundays too?) or just simply eaten elsewhere.
Thanks to your advice we will try again one day for lunch during the week sometime.
Ricardo
Hello again Maria,
Read moreHappyCow didnt't notidy me of your response, so I'm sorry for the late reply.
Personally, even though I knew I had one hour, I wouldn't do it again because I found myself looking at the clock very frequently.
I think last Sunday they had a lot of reservations, so we were just unlucky. I've been to brEAThe 4 or 5 times before and I always stayed as long as I wanted to.
In any case, it was not nice that they didn't let you know about the time constraint. And I agree that this particular brunch was not one of those ones you can eat in one hour.
Anyway, I hope you can try their regular plates (and desserts!!), but I'd strongly suggest making a reservation (even through Facebook they answer rather fast).
MariaLedoux
Hi again Ricardo,
Read moreThanks for your reply. I checked again with my husband and he definitely was not notified of the time constraint, and he like I, like to take our time to enjoy our food, so we would never have agreed to such a time limit.
Thank you for your suggestion and we will definitely go again but for a regular lunch or dinner.
Have a great weekend!

Dommages - Edit

Best vegan place ever !! - Edit
(English below)
What can I say about this place... This is my favorite restaurant in Paris! I've been there approximately 5 or 6 time and I've been amazed every time. First, the staff is super friendly and professional. Also, the food is SO GOOD. The cocktails are amazing, audacious, with new recipes quite often. The main courses are very good too, especially the burger. I often go there for lunch so the main course is different every time but always very tasty. And the desserts... I got an iced snickers, a popcorn pie, and a cheesecake, all were amazing.
And one cool anecdote; the place was a former bar where Beaudelaire used to drink😄
You won't be disappointed going there ! I warmly recommend this place !
Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Cheap menu for lunch
Cons: Quite expensive if you go for diner

Fantasy world - Edit
The decoration is amazing, I felt like I was stepping into a fantasy world! The waiters fit beautifully into the setting and know their stuff: vegan food & cocktails (& other drinks they serve). Although it's slightly more expensive than other places, the place, service and quality of products are well worth it. The burger ( fries mayo), iced coffee and bounty bar for dessert were great! I believe they change up the menu quite often, seem to have a regular clientele and also have an entrée, dish and dessert of the day everyday. Definitely recommend!

We stopped in on our trip to Paris just before they stopped lunch service. We had the ravioli, burgers, the daily dessert and the poached fig dessert. It was great! I’m so happy we found a vegan restaurant in the city. I needed a meal that I wasn’t having to piece together or question. Thank you for the meal!
