Some vegan options, good service. The food is hit or miss unfortunately. Best option is definitely the vegan tres leches.

Separate vegan menu with great options! - Edit
After walking down to La Jolla Cove late one holiday morning, we wandered back to Breakfast Republic and got our names on the list for a table at around 12:30 or so. The good news is we only had to wait about 10 minutes before our table for 3 was ready. During the week, non-holiday, we always score a table right away.
Read moreWe relaxed and took our time -- my wife and I ordered Bloody Marys and our daughter ordered a mimosa. Love that Breakfast Republic has a separate vegan menu with 5 different options PLUS they've got a special going right now in addition: vegan tres leches pancakes. Placed our food orders -- vegan breakfast burrito for me, a vegan frittata for my wife, and veggie breakfast tostadas with the upgraded potatoes for my daughter.
Everything was GREAT -- very, very good. Kudos to Breakfast Republic for having a bunch of vegan options to choose from! We appreciate it and will be back again and again.

I didn’t realize there were a ton of these restaurants in town when I visited. The food was fine at best. Just very basic and didn’t have a lot of flavor. They had nice outside seating and our server was friendly but there are better places to go.
