Hidden gem near the castle - Edit
This place is a great post-castle stop for lunch. There is one clearly labelled vegan sandwich item wit numerous vegetarian breakfast items. They also offer a nice selection of coffee (and iced coffee!) with two milk alternatives - soya and almond. ps for those fellow americans - they have ice!

There is one vegan sandwich option available which was very yummy, and also delicious homemade lemonade and the background music was great! A lot of fun details for example Wonderwoman and Batman on the bathroom doors😉Staff is super friendly!

Not obvious which sandwiches and salads in the refrigerated section are vegan but they had a Vegan Royal club sandwich up on the menu boards. Asked for this to take away and ate by the river. Very tasty. Consists of homemade hummus, aubergine, zucchini and roasted peppers in a lightly toasted bread. All packaging was compostible right down to the coffee cup lids and knife & fork.

A little cafe near the US Embassy. Choice of vegan, vegetarian and non vegetarian sandwiches, sides, salads, and soup. Largest inventory is sandwiches. Very friendly, English speaking staff. I had a humus, sun dried tomatoes sandwich with a small side lentil salad. Filled me right up. Colleagues recommended the coffee (with availability of soy or almond milk!). Place for four at a side counter, small table in front. Mostly for carry out. Perfect option!!!
