Delicious -- soy cheese not vegan

Tried "The Vegetarian" -- it was delicious albeit a bit pricey ($13/sandwich). The soy cheese is NOT vegan ("99% lactose free") and ask for Veganaise mayo. The apples, olive oil, pepper, and avocado really makes the sandwich. They use a nice lettuce mix for their sandwiches too. I had the pumpernickel bread and tried the multi-grain. I could just eat the bread and be happy it was so yummy! I would definitely go back. I knock off a star for the non-vegan cheese and price. Sampled the vegan carrot cake and banana bread and really liked the carrot cake!!

very accommodating for vegan and gluten free

First of all, I showed up an hour before they opened but an employee happened to be sweeping outside and they let me in and made a sandwich for me anyway. Super nice people!

But also, it is hard to find a bakery that has either vegan or gluten free options, and thus has both. There were multiple pastries to choose from (cranberry walnut cookies, flourless vegan chocolate cake) and they have an awesome veggie sandwich with gluten free bread. I asked for no cheese and was thrilled to learn that they use Veganaise on their sandwiches! So I didn't have to go without mayo! Wonderful experience!

Pros: vegan friendly, gluten free options, friendly staff

Great vegan sandwich and salad!

Excellent choice for a fresh, healthy vegan sandwich on freshly baked bread, or If you choose, a salad instead with bread on the side. Don't miss this neighborhood gem for a hearty vegan lunch!

Pros: Outstanding food, Friendly staff, Seating inside and out

Cons: Limited seating, Limited menu, Funky location
