Not ashamed of the word vegan - Edit
So many places try to survive by not advertising the fact that they are vegan, or hiding behind the word plantbased. This cafe made it clear where it stands before you even walk in. The decor is lovely, and the records playing create a relaxing tea room atmosphere. We have had a lot of pancakes over the country, but these were the best.

Visited this morning and had the full breakfast. Lovely food, great range of options, huge pot of tea and all served on vintage / retro pots. The owners were lovely too, very knowledgeable and whilst our needs were pretty basic, saw first hand that they made every effort to meet the needs of their customers. Checking labels for content such as soya etc to be certain a family could eat well. Great range of cakes and drinks meaning there was something for everyone. Lenny was a lovely snoozy hound and great that the whole place was pooch friendly. We will definitely be back... Nowhere else like this in Nottingham.

A lovely gem of a place in a great location. We booked as a group of vegan bikers, the staff were very friendly and kept their cool despite being overworked!

Food came out pretty quick too.
I can recommend 100% if you’re looking for delicious vegan food in the area!

This is a really lovely café. My daughter took me for a birthday lunch last week. Had a very tasty toastie, delicious cake (also took another cake home) and great drinks. It's such a cute place and the ladies are lovely. It was quite busy but we weren't waiting long.

Very tasty and varied menu. This was my second trip and this time I enjoyed the warm salad followed by fruit crumble slice - all delicious! My daughter had the meatball toasted sandwich which she also very much enjoyed. Lovely staff too who kept my glasses case which I accidentally left there last week.

Favourite cafe in Nottingham - Edit
I absolutely love Bread and Butterflies- it's my favourite place for vegan food in Nottingham. The whole menu is vegan, and the English breakfast particularly is great. They also sell homemade local crafts and cakes. Such a cozy place and super friendly staff.

I love this place! It's like stepping back in time with all the old style furniture and mismatched China cups & saucers, cutlery, and teapots. It reminds me of visiting my Grandma as a child.

Always love coming to new places and using Happy Cow to find them. This is one such place. Short walk from our campsite and we were not disappointed. Lovely sandwich followed by gorgeous cake. Lovely thick milkshake as well. Yummy!!

Totally vegan so big tick there! An exciting looking breakfast menu which I'm looking forward to trying and some very nice lunch options too. I had the warm salad with quinoa, roast veg & tenderstem broccoli which was delicious and just what I wanted.
