Best vegan I’ve in Scotland

My oh my, what a fantastic place! I came around 7pm and they were fully booked, but the nice lady offered a table at 8:15. And it was really worth the wait! This place is on the gastronomic side, with quite a few vegan options for both starters and mains, all more appetizing than the next. If your budget permits (36£ for appetizer, main whisky), I strongly recommend going there!

Pros: Super kind and caring staff, Inventive and tasty vegan food, Great whisky recommendation

Cons: None, it was the best!

Classy restaurant with a great vegan menu

Classy restaurant with a great vegan menu. Not all dishes were perfect (our pasta main was a touch uninspired) but many of the dishes were fabulous: a poached pear and pickled beetroot starter; a great risotto of mushroom and truffle. The staff were very attentive and knowledgable, and the atmosphere relaxed.

Fancy Scottish cuisine

Went on a date night here last week. Ask for the vegan menu as not obvious options on main menu. I had the wild mushroom and soy cream pasta and my partner had the risotto and they were both delicious!

Tasty food and a nice atmosphere!

The food was tasty though portions were maybe a little small for the price.
The atmosphere was nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Pros: A good few vegan options

Good food but unimaginative

I had a tomato soup and risotto. The food was very tasty but I would say the offering was unimaginative. I feel like a veggie soup and a risotto are very common vegan options, and eating out with a family of non-vegans/vegetarians means this is the only option a large portion of the time. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options , Tasty food, Friendly staff

Cons: Unimaginative vegan options

Few options but excellent food

Excellent food and service. Very helpful staff happy to help with vegan options. It’s a shame there are currently only 2 choices, I had the risotto and it was gorgeous! Would definitely recommend

Pros: Gorgeous food , Great service, Well priced at around £14 for a main

Cons: Only 2 options for mains

Delicious but expensive.

My family of 4 ate a late lunch here. I ordered the pea flatbread (amazing!), my husband had the mushroom pasta and a side salad, and my kids shared the tomato pasta (based on the price, we figured it would be enough for them to split.) My husband and kids both left hungry and the bill was £68. We enjoyed the food, there just wasn’t enough of it for what we paid, and we’re not stingy people.

Pros: A whole vegan menu, Staff is very friendly , Delicious flavors

Cons: Expensive for portion size

Fair

Decent choice of vegan dishes . Dishes are pricey. Mine was lacking in flavour. I ordered a side of seasonal vegetables. I had to ask again. I put them with my dish when they arrived. Notived what looked like butter on the dish, so asked if the veg was vegan and was told no. Staff were very good and went to lengths to rectify this.

A little pricey but delish

The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 3.30. The service was friendly and helpful. I had the vegan mushroom taglietelle which was scrumptious. My hubby had pan fried salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the bread and olives starter for 2 (they gave me sfv bread on request) and shared a litre bottle if sparking water. This all came to £44. As I said, a little expensive so will go elsewhere for lunch tomorrow. Well worth a visit though- I would imagine the ambience would be good when busier.

Pros: vegan options - about 8

Cons: pricey

Great vegan menu

The vegan menu has a great small variety. I had the sweet potato, spinach and butter bean stew, and it was delicious. It tasted like mesquite barbecue. My husband had the tomato and basil tagliatelle, and that was tasty too. We had a good experience there. The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of vegan desserts. They have only sorbet on the menu.

Pros: great selections

Cons: no vegan desserts
