vegan Flamekuche - Edit
Nice place with good wine.
Read moreUnfortunately they had no vegan cream at that day, but we get one with tomato sauce. It was ok, had no taste, so not very good.
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: no vegan cream

Only fries are vegan - Edit
I was really looking forward to have a traditional Alsacian food but vegan. Unfortunately, the staff told me that at the moment only vegan options are fries.

reasonable but nothing special - Edit
There are probably not many choices if you want a veg flammkuchen/tarte flambée. This place advertises one vegan version and says most/all of the others can be made vegetarian (though that only makes sense in some cases, depending on the toppings).
Read moreTheir flammkuchen was fine, nothing great.
The vibe is very bar/brewpub, which some will love and others hate. The staff are friendly and chill.
There's nothing special about this place and if you found a veg flammkuchen somewhere else, no reason to pass on it to go here.
Pros: veg options for a dish that isn't usually veg, centrally located, not very expensive
Cons: limited choices, so-so dish

No go-to - Edit
Didn't really convince me. I knew that there was only one vegan tarte flambée and it wasn't promised anything else, so I won't deduct anything for that. However, the dish tastes of almost nothing and isn't particularly big either. When we were there, there was only one waitress serving. She was super nice but often clearly overwhelmed and therefore took a long time.
Read moreIt's not a go-to for me, but perhaps an option if you're out with non-vegans who want omnivore options.
Pros: Only vegan Flammkuchen I found so far, Authentic French restaurant
Cons: Dish could be improved in terms of taste

Flambee vegana - Edit

Vegan Flammkuvhen - Edit
Really only one vegan option on the menu. A vegan flatbread (flammmkuchen) with vegan yogurt, onions and mushrooms. As said by others, it’s a bit bland. The onions and mushrooms star and it makes for a nice, fast meal. Not bad at all. Staff are very nice.

Flam végane très mauvaise - Edit
La flam végane existe et c'est bien... Sauf qu'elle est très fade. Vraiment, c'est le genre de plats fait par des gens qui ne s'imaginent jamais les choisir eux-mêmes.

Maybe the only places in Strasbourg that offers a vegan version of the classic Flammkuchen.

Pub Atmosphere with limited options - Edit
Tried to reserve a spot via there website the day before, but never got an answer. We still went there and the barkeeper was very nice and English-speaking, told us they were fully booked that night but still managed to get us a table for dinner (merci!).
Read moreThis seems to be a drinking-centric, loud pub with lots of people filtering in and out.
The tarte flambée (Flammkuchen) was the only vegan one we could find in the city. It was a bit heavy on the onions and lacked salt and pepper, but still worth to have this classic in the area!

Plain but good - Edit
I tried the vegan tarte flambée (without mushrooms) and it was decent. Good athmosphere, good service.

Great vegan flammkuchen - Edit
Quick service, not expensive and really nice vegan flammkuchen. A lot of the vegan flammkuchen you see in this area of France, are with tomatoes and vegetables, so pretty far off from the original flammkuchen. This place uses vegan yoghurt, onions and mushrooms making it pretty close to the traditional one. It was really flavourful as well.
