CLOSED: Brahmin's Kitchen

Similar to other vegetarian Indian restaurants (e.g. Saravana Bhavan), this place is located centrally in PJ SS 52 downtown (close to Manara MBPJ). Only challenge is finding a parking spot during lunch time.

Now, just as I am always happy when I go to the nearby Saravana Bhavan restaurant, about how many people go in their lunchtime break to have vegetarian food, it equally breaks my heart to come to this restaurant that is quite new and only see a few patrons. This restaurant definitely deserves better.

Quality is good, the prices are ok (especially when going for a standard lunch), and the staff are ready to advise on vegan options and seem knowledgeable. They do not use egg at all, and only a few of their dishes contain dairy products. On top of that they have a wide selection of North and South Indian dishes, and on top of that also Chinese options (have not tried those).

The vegan banana leaf (vegetarian option gets replaced by vegan) is very nice, and if your hunger is bigger than average, you can have a top-up of rice or vegetables.

They also have very nice fresh fruit juices (signature: beetroot wich pineapple and other fruits), that are not exactly cheap, but delicious.

So the next time you crave for delicious Indian food in Petaling Jaya, go and support this vegetarian place :-)

Im a non-veg but the food here almost makes me want to become vegetarian just so I can eat here everyday :) Great environment, clean, good service, air-conditioned,free wifi, Great food, affordable prices...its almost everything I could ask for in a restaurant. Brought many friends and relatives who were all satisfied. Great place!
