Lovely cafe with vegan options

Lovely cafe, with great vegan options for breakfast and lunch. Or coffee & cake. Friendly Welsh staff. Nice vibe, new sauna outside too!

Pros: Always good options, always a vegan cake option , Alternatives like cream & milk, cheese

Cons: Not fully vegan , You could say a bit pricey but it’s good quality.

Great cake

Really fantastic coffee and cake.
The rest of the menu looks fantastic so we will definitely need to return to try their vegan BLT and the biscoff pancake stack!

Delicious Breakfast; Lots of Vegan Options!

BRAF has a cafe, shack, and fitness studio, all located at Dinas Dinlle Beach. The cafe is a light and tasteful space and is very popular among locals as well as tourists. After visiting for the first time today, I can absolutely see why people are so taken by this well run cafe!

I visited for breakfast and, to my surprise, had a few vegan options to choose from. A quick scan of their lunch menu also showed multiple vegan options, although they are primarily foccacia based. The vegan options on the menus during my visit consisted of the following:
- Vegan Breakfast
- Mushrooms on Toast
- Homemade Beans on Toast
- BRAF Granola
- Vegan BLT Foccacia
- Roast Pumpkin and Pesto Foccacia
- Baked Foccacia Pizza
- Soup of the Day (including with optional sandwich)
- Fresh Daily Salad
- Vegan Chocolate Cake

I had their Vegan Breakfast, a slice of Vegan Chocolate Cake and a Oat Flat White. The coffee was fabulous and was served in a beautiful ceramic mug. The Vegan Chocolate Cake was a huge wedge of (I suspect homemade) cake and was dense and perfectly chocolatey. It is easily one of the best vegan cakes I have had from an omni cafe. The Vegan Breakfast consisted of toast, homemade beans, mushroom, kale, potatoes, and scrambled tofu. It was, without a doubt, the very best vegan breakfast I have had from an omni cafe so far. The scrambled tofu was exceptional and was even better than some I have had from vegan and vegetarian places!

I have had many vegans insist that I have the Vegan Breakfast from BRAF, and now I insist all vegans who find themselves near Dinas Dinlle treat themselves and do the same. It's a shame BRAF is not fully vegan as they clearly produce excellent food, and my imagination is running wild with what they would do running an entirely plant based menu!

Vegan options

This is a nice seaside type cafe. Situated just over the road from the beach. There is seating inside, which is bright and airy and outside with shade available.

I ordered the homemade focaccia with pesto, vegan feta & butternut squash on the recommendation of the waitress. It was delicious & a huge portion. I also had a peppermint tea to go with it. I overheard another customer order a vegan hot chocolate and was asked if she wanted it with vegan marshmallows!

I wouldn't say this cafe is a destination in and of itself but for a seaside café it definitely caters better than many for vegans and vegetarians 😊

Pros: Bright and airy, Fair vegan options, Vegan hot chocolate with marshmallows

What a delicious hidden gem!

We arrived at lunch time and they offered a vegan soup, vegan salad, a foccachia with vegan feta and some kind of a sharing cheese plate (with vegan feta and cheddar they told us). But we went for the foccachia and it was absolutely faboulous, fresh and very special!! An absolute recommendation! Also the side salad with walnuts, grapes, olives and dried tomatoes was yummy! Not to mention the cakes..today they had a vegan Victoria sponge cake and Orange shortbread-yumyum! Their good coffee comes with Oatly milk.

Pros: Very delicious, Seatings outside, Free car park on the opposite of the street

Vegan chef

loved this fairly new cafe, almost everything on the menu can be veganised and the food is innovative and tasty. A really good find for me as a local who struggles to find a good vegan friendly cafe locally.

Pros: interesting and tasty food, friendly staff

Cons: only that its not entirely vegan.
