Friendly staff although a lot of confusion about what is vegan or not. Tofu in "vegan" soup tasted of chicken so either was soaked in chicken broth beforehand or deep fried with chicken. I had to remove it. Spring rolls were okay. Not sure I'd visit again given there are plenty of vegan options including wagamamas in Bromley were more careful with prep and cross contamination. For better vegan tofu soup Vietnamese-style there's also PhoCafe in central London.
We popped in for a bite to eat while shopping in Bromley. Food was OK, but what really impressed us was that the kitchen staff came out to check if we were vegetarian/vegan. We had ordered the tofu soup, but we hadn't realised when ordering that it is actually made with meat broth, so we were able to change our order. Friendly front of house staff too. It would have been good to see the vegan dishes on the menu labelled.
The menu has clearly marked vegan options including spring rolls, veg tofu and rice & vegetarian tofu pho. Service has been so lovely every time I’ve been here and the prices are reasonable. The excellent pub opposite - Star & Garter - lets you take in outside food; so this makes for a great way to have a meal and a drink!
Vegan options are labeled on menu. But be careful as there seems to be some confusion about what is vegan. But lots of vegan options and very nice food.
