A beautiful mountain stay - Edit
We stayed at La Quiete del Bosco on a drive through Valle Mesolcina. What was supposed to be a simple overnight stop turned out to be one of our favourite parts of a holiday in the Swiss Alps.
Read moreThe rooms are extremely spacious (more like a small studio flat) and recently renovated to a high standard. Both of the owners were exceptionally nice and we had nothing but pleasant interactions. We asked ahead for a dinner option and were served a fantastic home-cooked meal (a gazpacho and a tofu and vegetable risotto). Breakfast was fantastic as well - swiss bircher muesli and some freshly baked home made bread with fruit spreads.
The B&B is easy to reach by car (you have to drive through a narrow street or park before that, just a short walk away from the house). If you come by public transport, you can reach it via a beautiful walk over a roman bridge and up the hill from Mesocco. The area is one of the most beautiful ones of Switzerland, the nearby town Soazza was amazing and also Bellinzona is not terribly far away.
