Both were very good and lots of awesome flavors but the big salad was definitely the winner here. The yeast added a great flavor profile.
Atmosphere****
Very hippie and cool! We liked the atmosphere as it has something for everyone straight, gay, family, etc. There is parking and it is wheelchair accessible. Lots of seating with private space.
Service****
Great and friendly service. Be prepared to offer a tip plus a tip as they do a community pool on the tip they add to your card plus ask for additional but you can decline (we don’t recommend that as these people work hard and deserve more than just the community tip).

Wonderful menu and space - Edit
Stopped by on a trip to Austin and was pleasantly surprised. The menu has many options, most can be made vegan. They have happy hour specials as well as desserts and milkshakes too. The space is unique and feels very community driven. It’s definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is vegetarian but most of their menu is already vegan (or can be made vegan) which I confirmed with our waitress. I have to try the queso anywhere I go that offers it...and their Tex Mex Queso was one of the best I've come across! I ordered the Kool Hummus Sandwich with "fakon" (fake bacon 😆) with potato salad, and my bf got the Massaman Jackfruit Curry with added tofu. Both were absolutely delectable! I'd love to come here again and try more of their food.

Great service and staff (Kelly!) along with a large vegan menu makes this stop worth the wait. Was told a 40 minute wait but was closer to 30 and we didn’t mind. Had the signature blueberry cornbread which had vegan butter and syrup and was nice and warm. Bottomless coffee with non dairy milk options. We Had the ren taco which was a bargain for 4$! Large serving size. Also had the Smokey Joe omelette was huge!! Full of flavor with spices and yeast. The renedict was creamy and had lots of flavor as well. Worth the wait

The vegan version of the bouldin omelet (with tofu) is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had. I get it with the hash browns and delectable blueberry cornbread oven cake - Yum! Everything is great here and so vegan friendly.

One of the absolute BEST diners I’ve ever been to. We tried the south Austin stir fry, wanna blta and Scott’s chickpea chick’n salad sandwich. The coffee, the food, the atmosphere- everything was incredible. I can’t wait to go back to Austin!

So much to choose from! On my most recent visit I had the Lady Bird Salad from the lunch menu and it was amazingly delicious. Carrot pumpkin cake for dessert. You really can't go wrong. Breakfast, aandwiches, salads, entrees, desserts. Bouldin Creek never disappoints.

We came for happy hour and ordered beer, the tofu and broccoli salad, the brownie sundae with ice cream and espresso dessert, chips and salsa, and took the burger, stir fry noodles, and more chips and salsa to go. All of it was fabulous. Come and support this place

I had the tofu renedict. It was really good but personally the hollandaise was missing a little something. The rest of the dish was on point. My nonveg friends were happy with their breakfast special and oatmeal.

Largish sit down restaurant with tons of character. Large shaded patio, and plentiful indoor seating as well. Friendly, helpful staff. I hope we have a chance to go back… though I may have to order the same things again. The blueberry cornbread was the best vegan cornbread I’ve ever had. The Neal taco with tofu scramble was delicious, savory, perfect.

Went on a Saturday night and there service was SO FAST! I feel like we got our queso 2 minutes after we ordered it. Only ate about 1/4 of it before the entrees were served. Love it! Nice outdoor seating.

The last time I came here it was take out only for covid so this was the first time we got to eat in the restaurant. The staff was friendly, and we loved the ambience. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was perfect- loved the basil pesto! We will definitely be coming back even though we are only in austin for a week😄
