Nice and central Café - Edit
The location is great as it is very central. We went there for coffee and cake - I had the pistacchio croissant and it was really good😄

Only vegan place in the center - Edit
This is the only vegan place in the city center and it is great. I went for breakfast and I repeated for lunch time. They have some dishes of the day plus a menu with sabdwiches, hamburgers, pasta, veggies… good service and nice place

Per me colazione vegana vuol dire bottega vegana.

Cozy Atmosphere - Edit
I had the tofu spinach ravioli and it wasn't fantastica but it wasn't bad. I also got three desserts to take home: a brownie, an orange-chocolate cookie and a cream fruit tart. The brownie and cookie were dry and not very tasty. The fruit tart was also just okay. Overall, this place is cute but I have had much better vegan food. I don't need to go back.

Kitchen closed early - Edit
On Google it says they close at 3 pm. I went at 2:05 pm but I was told their kitchen had just closed and I wasn't able to order food, which was a shame because I was very excited to eat here. They had a few desserts and sandwiches left on display. The hummus sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes and vegan cheese was still decent though.

Excellent Coffee Shop Friendly Service - Edit
We had cappuccino, croissants and fresh squeezed OJ, all wonderful. The staff was super welcoming, and spoke English, which was very helpful. Even though it was before their lunch service began, the chef agreed to make us some sandwiches to take away for us to eat later that day on the train. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Not impressed - Edit
We couldn’t believe we happened to walk past this place on our way to a non vegan restaurant. I speak some Italian but didn’t get some of the menu; a lot of food words have no translation. Anyway husband got a pasta with little chunks of salame and cheese that didn’t melt. He didn’t like the fact that it was pasta integrale instead of white. He thought it was ok, I thought it was heavy and kind of sticky. I got ravioli that was definitely a bit gluey. They tasted ok but not flavorful. you know? We debated getting a beer but didn’t order one yet the server brought us an open beer. We were unclear how she decided to do that but we felt bad for her so we kept it which was fine.

ok,, expensive, I expected much more - Edit
I was so hungry and stopped by. They didn't have an English menu, so it was a bit difficult to find out what the dishes are. The staff just speaks a little bit English so I get just a tiny little kind of wrap for a lot of money. It was ok, but it was just a bit avocado, a bit zuchini and a lot of mayo. I was still hungry after that. Overpriced

Buona soluzione vegana - Edit
Abbiamo preso piadina stracchino e rucola, carbonara e dolce.

Winter Sunday Lunch - Edit
The food choice was a bit reduced because it was sunday. We were hoping for something warm as it was cold outside, but the soups were not available that day.
Read moreWe had 2 piadine, one with stracchino and rocket salad and one with humus and grilled vegetables.
They weren't filled that much, but they tasted nice enough. However, not really impressed for a 10€ piadina.
The cakes are amazing though and the coffees are very cheap. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is good too.
TL;DR: wouldn't reccommend for lunch, but definitely for a coffee and cake.
Pros: Amazing cakes, Friendly staff, Cheap coffee
Cons: Overpriced meals, Lack of food options for lunch

Great breakfast! but hours listed are wrong - Edit
I meant to go here for lunch, but they close at 15:00 on Mondays and are closed all day Tuesdays. However, I was able to have a light breakfast here and it was incredible! There are so many sweet pastry and cake options. I had a croissant with chocolate hazelnut spread, and an oatmeal biscuit/cookie. The croissant was perfect, and the cookie was also good but a little dense and dry - delicious in coffee though! Would love to come back for lunch/dinner sometime!

Lovely place in Modena - Edit
We were just passing by Modena for a few hours on our way from Bologna to Milano, and the rain made us take shelter in this Happy Cow recommended restaurant. And we're glad we stopped in here. We had the fusilli with cherry tomatoes, olives and capers (for me) and the fetuccini with asparagus and ginger (for my s/o), plus a cherry pie, and it was very good. Maybe the rain and the cosy atmosphere helped a lot but the staff was very friendly, and if the price is not cheap, it is not absurd (9-10€ for the plate).

Wonderful owner, excellent food - Edit
I was in town only for one night and found this place on HappyCow. There were a few people in the restaurant, which is in a nice area. The owner was very friendly and very funny. Being the home of sports cars, he loved talking about them with me.
Read moreI had several dishes, the typical Italian spread with antipasto, primo, secondo, and of course dolce. All with local red wine (vegan of course). Everything was of course fantastic. The menu changes daily, but I doubt you'd be disappointed with anything.
I was surprised when the owner let me use his special Modena balsamic vinegar on my desserts, which was mind blowing.
Pros: Lovely owner and atmopshere, very reasonable prices, great meal selection

Wonderful place - Edit
I had lunch at Bottega vegana once last week with some non-vegetarian friends and we were all delighted! The staff was very kind and friendly and the food was tasty and healthy. The menu offers a number of delicious options, such as pasta with tomatoes and capers and vegetable burgers, and the cakes were good too!

I suggest you to book in advance, as the place is not huge (not terribly small either, I would say).

Good coffee and cake - Edit
I came here in the morning for something with a semblance to breakfast so I can’t comment on any of the lunch dishes. It’s a cute, rather spacious cafe space with a beautiful interior design, and the woman serving at the counter was friendly. There were lots of pastries like croissants and cakes in the display case, which were on the pricier side but standard for vegan versions. I ordered an espresso for 1.10€ and a slice of walnut cake (torta di noci) for 6€ without any cover charge.
