Food For Fuel - Edit
Very disappointing options for vegans, it’s always the vegan burger and pizza! The burger was meh so was the side we ordered. The flavour of everything was very bland.

Lovely food in a beautiful seaside hotel restaurant - Edit
Combine a visit to the beautiful beach of Botany Bay with a lovely meal at the restaurant of this hotel. There are enough vegan options, in different menu categories, and the food is fresh and very well cooked. Breakfast would have worked as well for vegans, but we got up too late. Very nice rooms, by the way, if you're looking for a place to stay. But definitely try the food!

Update 2025: We enjoyed a very good vegan breakfast! See photo.

Friendly wait staff but disappointing - Edit
Having made a booking for dinner, I'd looked at the menu online earlier that day (correction: turned out to be an old menu) and was happy to see a tasty-looking vegan main, but when we were there the menu was different. That shouldn't have been a problem except there were no vegan-labelled mains. Loads of stuff labelled "Vg" from starters, to toppings, to wines, just not an actual main course. When I told the waitress she went away then came back saying the "Vg" symbol denoted vegan, so I had to explain again that that wasn't the issue but the lack of vegan mains. Eventually she came back with vegan options but I felt difficult having to ask questions. I managed to get sausage and chips which were okay but nothing special. Veg was very salty and while they did ask us as a table if we wanted condiments, they didn't give us as individuals a chance to answer, so we got one little pot of ketchup between 3 of us. The staff were smiley and friendlier than in a lot of establishments, but service was slow and ordering as a vegan felt too much like hard work. The frangipane dessert was nice. I didn't get the second drink I ordered and there was a separate mistake in the bill that took a while getting rectified. I wouldn't go back.
