I appreciate what Botanique does here: each dish focuses on one vegetable (or mushroom) and takes it to another level. I love everything that goes on in each dish: the sweet notes, the crunchy elements, the creaminess, the range of spices, the beautiful presentation. The dishes were quite rich in flavor however I found them quite heavy in oil, especially the eggplant main which was swimming in it. Other than that, it was wonderful. The pavlova was to die for too.

Lovely vibes, great decor and a fab poster in the loo! Would definitely recommend and will be back.

5 stars from start to finish. The food is seasonal, creative and delicious. This was such a memorable meal! Given the quality and inventiveness of this fine dining vegan food I don’t think it’s expensive.

A good variety of dishes to choose from without being overwhelmed, with lots of different vegetables being showcased at their best. Really flavoursome and inventive plates. Waitress helpful in explaining the plate concept. Only issues we had were it took over 45 minutes for the food to arrive but the waitress was apologetic for the delay. We had a mix up with our order and got an extra dish given which we were charged for but hadn't actually ordered, unfortunately this was the only dish we didn't rate as highly as we thought the artichokes were slightly undercooked. Also to note there was a 12.5% service charge automatically added. It is quite expensive with small portions but it's what we expected as assumed it would be a fine dining experience at a fully vegan restaurant so a special treat.

Every single dish bursted with flavour and freshness. We ordered quite a few of the wonderfully described nibbles, small plates, and a couple of the large plates, and we couldn't fault one of them. Beautifully presented dishes, and worth every penny. Highly recommend, and will definitely be returning in the future!!

We both absolutely loved botanquie. The food was so flavoursome and tasty, a great range of options. The staff were attentive, super helpful and friendly. We loved the idea of sharing plates and I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

The mains were ‘nice’ but we are spoiled for choice in Brighton and food doesn’t shine like it’s sister restaurant, Food For Friends. However, the desserts are delicious and I highly recommend the cheesecake. We sat at the back of the restaurant, near the loos, so the ambiance wasn’t great- the sound bounces off the walls…it had only recently reopened and maybe they have redecorated since I was there. It might be better to sit upstairs? The service was good.

This place is highly highly recommended
Pros: Veggies done in amazing ways. , No resorting to meat replacement , Unique dishes.
