Love to support a local vegan place! - Edit
The seasonal vegan crab cake really blew me away. SO delicious! The umami potatoes were delicious too. I’ve tried several other menu items that were good and these were amazing!! Portions are rather small for the price but the customer service here is incredible- the nicest people work here!! And the coffee is amazing😄

So glad we saw these reviews and stopped here during our travels to pick up our daughter from college. This place is wonderful! Fantastic friendly service combined with a well decorated, inviting atmosphere to enjoy eating in. They offer an appealing menu and we enjoyed everything that we ate. We ended up eating here again on our way back home. My pictures are from our 2nd trip back. We will definitely come here again on our future trips to her college! Highly recommend!

This eatery has so many good options—mostly whole plant-based! It’s also a super cozy spot and has a patio. I loved the miso mac & cheese, the sticky cauliflower, the crispy chix sandwich, and the cauliflower soup.

We live in Virginia Beach and very little vegan options. Probably the best I’ve ever tasted! We had the wonton nachos, sticky cauliflower and vegetable fried rice. Absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Relocating to Charlottesville, Botanical has become our family’s favorite local restaurant. They provide a menu that changes each season and balances unique creations with veganized staples. They have a great all-vegan dining facility with coffee bar, to-go options, and diverse selection of drinks. Great place for a snack and watching passerby at the walking mall or a night out for couples. We’ve loved every meal here and the service is outstanding!

Great vegan food, great atmosphere, great city. LOVE! - Edit
Botanical is one of my favorite vegan restaurants. The main dishes are all creative and satisfying. The desserts are delicious and memorable. Highly recommend going if you are in Charlottesville and want a fresh delicious meal.

Crab Cakes are the BEST! - Edit
Love this place! We’ve been twice and loved everything we’ve tried. I especially love the wonton nachos and the crab cake sandwich. The chef creates fantastic flavor profiles.

This was such a wonderful place!!!! We visited while in town seeing Monticello. My kids said this was their favorite restaurant!!! Too bad we don’t live around here. The food was amazing! I am WFPB, and there were so many options for me. My only problem was trying to decide what to order!!! We were all so thrilled to have a charcuterie board…something we can’t find anywhere else. I highly recommend this place!!!

What a great meal! One of the best plant-based/vegan/healthy eating restaurants I’ve ever been to, not only this but they’re also super queer friendly✨🌈. A must try is the rainbow terra and crunchy cauliflower bowel. I also loved their summer special drink called the lavender blossom cold brew.

Botanical Plant-Based Fare is such a great find while out on the road. It feels a little more upscale, which is nice and all the options are fantastic. They have indoor and outdoor seating along a pedestrian only street. My tour mate and I got: the Veggie sandwich from the Spring Menu, the miso Mac & cheese, kale Caesar salad and wonton nachos. Everything was super super good and quality. The staff were also very kind.

As a fully vegan restaurant, there are many options. They have a "pick-two" menu item that allows you to try more options at once! I have a small macaroni and cheese (which wasn't that small, really) and a "tuna" sandwich. They were both to die for! I was having a hard time believing that what I was eating was vegan!

Even though I got here at 9am they were nice to still make nachos for me, along with their breakfast sammie. The nachos were incredible and unique, very fresh and crisp veggies. The sauce and homemade biscuit were very tasty. I was just driving through town and had to stop by !

...if I were staying in Charlottesville. They can keep you happy from breakfast (well, brunch on the wknds) to cocktails, and it looks like they know what to do with coffee. Stylish and chill inside with patient and sweet staff. Food is upscale but not stuffy.
Read moreI always test out a vegan place by checking out how they do their Caesar salad, and this one was delicious and large, with crispy toasted chickpeas for croutons, great idea. My spouse's mushroom bacon BLT was unique, and I grabbed any scrap of bacon that fell out. We also had the cauli bites (another test item I seem to order everywhere) which were creative and tasty. I can't wait to try out a cocktail next time. We were thrilled to find this right on the pedestrian mall, a place that could keep us occupied for hours in nice weather.
I will NOT miss the street corn and the hash browns next time!
