Beautiful setting, delicious food - Edit
We loved the choice here and the staff were knowledgeable about what was vegan or could be made vegan. We ordered so much as we wanted to try it all and so glad we did. The stuffed veg were delicious and my children loved the soup. Superb service and the view is amazing! Plus the botanical gardens were a beautiful walk!

Fresh and delicious with beautiful views - Edit
The restaurant of the Botanical Garden of Crete is spacious and beautiful, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly and vegan dishes are clearly marked on the menu, with more possibly vegan or veganisable. The staff are friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere.
Read moreWe shared the fava beans and vegetables and the stuffed cabbage rolls between us and everything was delicious. Most ingredients come from the garden and you really taste that. The fresh orange juice, lemonade and Greek mountain tea were fantastic as well.
Visiting the wonderful Botanic Gardens and the restaurant afterwards was a pleasant outing during our trip to Crete and we highly recommend it.

A nice meal to cap out a pleasant walk - Edit
Some vegan options are marked clearly in the menu, some are not. The salad (you can ask to make vegan by omitting yoghurt) had plenty fresh local fruit, pleasant. Wood stove-fried vegetables were just alright. House lemonades are a treat though, can recommend.

I've been here many times with my family. After 2-3h of beautiful walk among different plants, eating in their restaurant is wonderful experience. Planty of vegan options, fresh, local food and spices. Highly recommended!!

Plentiful and well cooked - Edit
Wonderful fresh ingredients well cooked and presented. The view over the botanical park made for a very special setting. We were given complimentary Greek mountain tea and a fruit plate at the end of the meal which were both excellent.
Read moreThe Greek salad (ordered without feta) contained some unique leaves from the botanical park alongside the usual items you would find in a Greek salad.
We also enjoyed the dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) but need to ask for it without the yoghurt. The fava beans were excellent too. The meal started with freshly baked bread and great quality olive oil but need to request this without cheese if vegan as otherwise it comes out with the local speciality cheese.
The fennel pie was also vegan and would definitely recommend it.
An excellent restaurant based at the stunning botanical park.
Pros: Ingredients from the botanical gardens, Phenomenal views, A number of good vegan options and unique
Cons: Bread was served with cheese (specify if vegan), Vine leaves served with yoghurt (specify if vegan

Mouth-watering vegetable dish with fresh herbs from the own garden and fresh orange juice from the own orchard. Breathtaking views of the historic gardens with many species of trees and plants with beautiful peacocks scurrying below. The service is neat and friendly. You should not miss this when you are in Crete!
