Delicious Earthy Vegan Food! - Edit
The food is delicious - unlike a lot of modern vegan options, the food is quite authentic to its origins, and very 'earthy' - it makes the most of the plants themselves and brings out their best qualities. So delightful to eat like this and savour all of the unique flavors and enjoy the different compositions. An excellent choice for Vegan dining

Delicious high quality food and beautiful environment - Edit
The food at Botanica Lab was delicious. They have a huge variety of dishes, all prepared with fresh, home-made ingredients (as e.g. macadamia and almond ricotta). We dined here on two consecutive nights and tried several dishes, all of which were delicious. In addition, the environment is beautiful and the service attentive. Booking a table (online) in advance is highly recommended.

Friendly, cool but relaxed restaurant on quiet street 5 mins from Piazza Maggiore. Recommend booking to avoid disappointment- easy to do on website. Fantastic asparagus filled tortellini with fresh asparagus shavings. The other dishes being served looked great too. Lovely to find a vegan place obviously so popular in a city that loves its ragu and mortadella. Told food tour guide I'd been and he said 'ah -you went to the best.' I agree. Would go all the time if I lived in Bologna.

Fantastic vegan restaurant in the heart of bologna - Edit
Came here for dinner and it was fantastic. It is recommended to make a reservation and it was super easy to do online a couple of hours before dinner on the same day. The menu is extensive and has lots of different kinds of food (Italian, burgers,, burrito etc.) I had the gnocchi which was amazingly creamy and had peas and artichoke and for desert I had a cashew cheesecake with mango. All delicious!

Provato a pranzo in una piovosa domenica di aprile, abbiamo provato 2 primi 2 contorni e 2 dessert. I primi consistevano in pici di farro con salsa di pomodorini gialli e in una vellutata di broccolo romanesco e altre verdure, il tutto curato nei minimi particolari, che appagavano occhio e palato. Come contorni, abbiamo preso patate e patate al forno e verdure pastellatr in versione non fritta.
I dolci, due cheesecake, non all'altezza dei primi ma comunque molto gustosi anch'essi.
Meglio prenotare perché era pienissimo.

A 100% vegan restaurant just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore, somewhere between fancy and casual. I had the "filetto" and it was superb. Very skillfully prepared. The dessert wasn't as impressive, but still enjoyable. Reservations are highly recommended, as finding a table can be tricky. Prices are on the higher side, but given the quality, it makes sense. A good choice for a more upscale vegan meal in Bologna.

The Tarte Tatin is exceptional, overshadows everything I had in Bologna.
The Haramaki style spring roll is also a highlight of the menu. The faux corned beef and cabbage dish is to be admired, but was so close to corned beef that it actually put me off a bit (but I haven't eaten meat in 40 years, so it was maybe a shock.) again, admirable,
but very "meat". Things like the burrito, etc are very nice, but honestly could feed 2 people.
The Ginger shot is great, and an odd highlight is their citrus flavored water which was really good and complex. Went 3 times in order to taste pretty much everything...
Pros: Really good quality for the price., The Tarte Tatin is really worth trying.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very cozy and despite it being full it was possible to have a conversation at normal voice level. I ordered the tyrolean dumplings in creamy sauce with mushrooms (Käsespätzle) and I would have eaten the entire pot if possible! I was a bit disappointed by the summer rolls as they were too big to bite in without distroying them, and were served with a plain soy sauce as dipping… the mango panna cotta was absolutely excellent! For a three course meal I spent around 35€ which, for the quality of the food, is a fair price to me. The restaurant is nested in the heart of Bologna just a stone away from the main square, so perfect for an after-lunch stroll. This place is ALWAYS busy and will turn you away if you don’t have a reservation, so make sure to make one before your visit (can be easily done online).

The friendliness of the staff is the most impressive thing of this restaurant. The food was good although missing a little bit of flavor, I ordered the pumpkin plate which was very good and the tortellini which was missing salt in my opinion. The chocolate cheesecake was divine although it was more of a frozen mousse than a cheesecake.

It was a nice experience for the tastebuds. We shared the 'Filetto' and the 'Triangles' pasta - but I don't feel like it was quite worth the price (24 euro for the Juicy Marbles filet and 15 euro for the very small portion of pasta).
Also they have an online menu in the restaurant and the ingredients in the pictures did not match what was served. I really missed the asparagues which were nowhere to be found...
Out of season ? - change your pictures pls...:(
I wasn't finished with my dinner before they asked to take my plates so it all seemed just a bit too rushed.
We shared the mango chessecake for dessert which was really nice tho. :-)

Fully vegan restaurant with really nice ambiance with nice outside seating! The food was really tasty and creatively showing what vegan kitchen can be, I was only missing some more spice and some salt and pepper at the table would have helped (though I don’t know, if that’s a thing in italy) the wine and cheesecake for dessert were amazing, staff could have been slighly nicer

Read moreThe food was okay-I ordered the vegan buddha bowl which was not really what I expected. It didn't look like any of the buddha bowls I've had before, it was more of a plate of random assorted ingredients. Still, it was quite tasty and I enjoyed it.
For dessert I got the vegan creme brulee which was nice, but the addition of turmeric ruined it for me a little bit. I enjoy turmeric but not sure if it goes well in this dish.
