BVS, founded in 1987, organizes an active schedule of educational, outreach, and community building events, several each month. These include monthly free speaker events, vegan cooking classes, author events, holiday events, and dining outs. Organizes and presents the annual Boston Vegetarian Food Festival.

This group kind of surprised me, there is not a lot of activism associated with this group. There are a lot of meetings, discussions, there are monthly meet ups at Grasshopper. I have been to two different BVS events that were very informative. I think they do a good job at keeping people in the area informed, which is important. The ages in this group are very diverse as well, which is good.
