84 Queen St, Exeter, England, EX4 3RP

Serves meat, vegan options available. Part of a chain of cafes. Has several vegan dishes and ones that can be made vegan. Uses fresh local organic produce and all food is made-in-house to order. Clearly marked vegan choices include an all day breakfast, mushrooms on toast, porridge with soy, a sandwich or wrap and a salad. The mushroom and tomato bap can also be made vegan. Organic soy milk can be used on request for any hot drinks. Has a laid back vibe and an ethical and organic focus. Popular with students and locals. Open Mon-Sat 7:00am-6:00pm, Sun 8:00am-6:00pm.

Sums up Exeter in a cafe - Edit

As a local, I visit Boston Tea Party fairly regularly. I feel it's one of those places visitors to Exeter should definitely go to; make sure you sit inside and go upstairs (if possible) as that's where the Boston's atmosphere really is.

In terms of food, it's nothing particularly special, but it's nice and it's good quality. My favourite vegan option is the vegan breakfast, and you can also ask for the tomato and mushroom bap to be made vegan which is really nice when you're after a warm snack.

The cold sandwiches aren't as good as the hot food, but the avocado, sundried tomato and olive tapenade is OK if you need to grab a quick bite.

They usually have a couple of vegan options in the cake display, the chocolate and coconut flapjack is particularly nice, and they have lots of suitable drinks options with organic soya milk.

If you've been to Exeter but not visited Boston's you've been missing out.

Pros: Vegan options labelled, Organic and free range produce

Cons: Lots of meat on the menu, Can get crowded
