Serves meat, vegan options available. Part of a chain of cafes. Has several vegan dishes and ones that can be made vegan. Uses fresh local organic produce and all food is made-in-house to order. Clearly marked vegan choices include an all day breakfast, mushrooms on toast, porridge with soy, a sandwich or wrap and a salad. The mushroom and tomato bap can also be made vegan. Organic soy milk can be used on request for any hot drinks. Has a laid back vibe and an ethical and organic focus. Popular with students and locals. Open Mon-Sun 07:00-21:00.

Delicious - Edit
So many amazing vegan options. I've tried the breakfast muffins, full vegan breakfasts, toasties and they were all delicious!

Not worth the money - Edit
I got the 'vegan boss' and it was very disappointing. For the price, you would something a bit more elevated then tinned beans, dry greens and unseasoned mushrooms. In fairness, the hash browns were homemade but didn't have as much flavour as a standard hashbrown. Scrambled sweetcorn was an interesting choice - not to my taste but I can appreciate the originality

Vegan Menu is good - Edit
Boston Tea Party is always a solid choice, with a good vegan selection, and a nice atmosphere. I just wish they did more Vegan.

Worst vegan breakfast - Edit
Never been a huge fan of BTP but been quite a few times in the past when no other options or going with family. Previously I might have given it around 2 or 3 stars. However, they have changed the vegan breakfast more recently and it was the worst vegan breakfast I've ever had.
Read moreSo bland, soggy, nothing like a 'normal' English breakfast. They forgot my hash browns.. and I even wrote them an email to express my disappointment but sadly had no response which has put me off for life I think!!
Pros: Healthier
Cons: Quite expensive, Tasteless!, Poor customer service

They used to have scrambled tofu which was nicer but changed it to scrambled sweetcorns?! They also changed perfectly fine and vegan baked beans to their own very bland version of bigger beans in a tasteless sauce

Know what you're getting - Edit
I like BTP because of its a chain you know what you're getting wherever there are. They are friendly, and quick to serve. I enjoy the vegan boss but always believe a breakfast is better with vegan sausages if possible. I also find the scrambled tofu too watery for me, but that may be a personal preference. Lovely chai lattes, and oat milk flat whites. Plenty of smoothie options but not many 'treat' options and actually when you look at the large menu, not loads to choose from. The vegan burger is delicious however, would recommend.

Great coffee, good food, bit slow at times... - Edit
I love the vegan boss, a really great breakfast which feels lovely and filling.
Read moreThe portion sizes are variable, the flatbreads are a bit small.
There’s only one vegan cake which is sometimes a bit dry (a vegan flapjack would be nice).
The coffee is amazing. The staff are lovely and helpful.
Pros: Great breakfast , Amazing coffee, Wide selection of drinks
Cons: Limited cake options , Some portions a bit small

Boston Boss Breakfast is Best - Edit
There's lots to like about the BTP, not least their commitment to sustainability and their values, but most of all ... their Vegan Boss breakfast; scrambled tofu, hash browns, sweetcorn fritter, roasted tomato, mushrooms, spinach, baked beans, two rounds of toast. Ordered with a serving of marmalade to use with the extra toast, and a pot of their chocolate tea. Everything on the plate is delicious and seasoned to perfection. So not a vegan cafe but the next best thing which is delicious vegan options which you might be tempted to try even if not vegan.. and we need a lot more of that. Would give 5 stars if I could (but that option is reserved for vegan only places).

Good vegan breakfast - Edit
Dairy free milks available and the veggie meals can be veganised. Had the veggie breakfast with no egg and added avocado and it was lovely! Another plus is they don’t do disposable coffee cups 👍

Ok for coffee - Edit
Nice coffee, non dairy milk available, quite a few items on the menu as well. I tried the vietnamese banh-mi baguette, but I didn't like it that much. The bread was chewy and tasted like a 50p baguette that you buy frozen in grocery stores, and the overall sandwich was way too spicy (and I like spicy and am quite used to it!). I still ate it, but I would never order it again. My friend tried the coconut rice porridge and said it was ok.

Nice cafe with vegan options - Edit
Omni cafe with veg and vegan options for all day breakfast, lunch and coffee 'n' cake. Had vegan breakfast, with almond milk latte. Very tasty - felt it could have benefitted from some scrambled tofu to replace the egg on the veg breakfast but see picture for plentiful plate. Several vegan cake options - I took home a Coffee & Walnut cake, which was very nice if only with a vague coffee and walnut hint. Cafe was very busy and food took some time to come, but good when it arrived.
Read morePros: several vegan options, good food, nice cafe
Cons: can always be more vegan options, long wait for food, though drinks arrived quickly
