One of the best coffee 'chains' in Bristol - Edit
Large enough now not to be considered independent? Maybe...
Good coffee; a couple of vegan cake options plus a few vegan mains / starters etc. Menu changes which is good.
Atmosphere is very good; and often very crowded. A student favourite to sit and work all day, so not always possible to get a seat! They could label their vegan options better....
Pros: A few vegan options and a great place to hang out
Cons: serves meat., serves fish, not many vegan options

Worth the slog - Edit
If your cardiac medicine , and legs, can tolerate the trek up the hill, BTP will reward the knackered with a nice vegan all-day breakfast, and a friendly, informal atmosphere. The vegan chocolate and coconut flapjacks are delicious; a pity they don't sell them at base camp to fuel the last attempt on the summit...
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, Nice food, Cheerful counter staff
Cons: More vegan choices, please

Recommended for breakfast - Edit
Boston Tea Party does a vegan cooked breakfast, which comes without any meat substitutes but it's still good value for money and a vegan breakfast is a rarity so I do recommend it. Their lunch and dinner menus aren't great for vegans but there is always one option - so if nothing else is available it works. Also they sell vegan coconutty chocolate flapjacks and do great coffee and free wifi in a great and friendly atmosphere. Their drinking chocolate is vegan too.
Pros: Vegan flapjacks, Great coffee, Vegan Breakfast
Cons: Not many lunch/dinner options, No vegan cake

Great place for tea and cake - Edit
I stopped off here for a cup of tea and was pleasantly suprised by the choice of loose leaf herbal teas. I enjoyed the most vibrant and delicious cup of rose, cardamom and ginger tea in a pot along with a slice of Hippy Hayley's Vegan Nut Bar.
The staff were really friendly. I noticed a few vegan options listed on their menu board, like vegan breakfast option and salad. The staff were helpful and answer any questions.
They had a couple of vegan desserts (looking mighty delicious I must say!) and offered a full selection of organic coffee, teas and the usual soya milk.

Good for tea or veggie all day breakfast etc - Edit
This place has good food values. Good veggie breakfast, could do better on vegan option though at least they know what you're talking about. Wholemeal toast by default, but ask them to leave off the spread if you don't want it. Lovely garden and upstairs lounge, friendly helpful young staff. Free water and soya milk available on the counter for their wide range of teas including roibos etc. Nice range of cakes including a vegan one or two. Unpretentious and not expensive.
Pros: good food, not expensive, great venue, friendly staff

Vegan chocolate cake :) - Edit
Funky and ethical, Boston Tea Party offers many veggie options and enough vegan options for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea! The chocolate and orange vegan cake is great, as is the porridge made with soya milk with fruit compote. Great place to hang out and enjoy yummy snacks.
Pros: Vegan cake, Ethical food, Comfortable

Enjoyable and accomidating - Edit
I very much enjoyed my lunch here. They addapted items on the menu to make them vegan for me (which I always like as it means something has been made up fresh). They are hot on what veganism is and means and have the few items marked on the menu as vegan. I had the Butternut squash taggine without the tzaiki and an iced coffee with soya and no frap mix.
Pros: Tasty food, Good location, Friendly staff
Cons: busy

Good Sandwiches - Edit
Not much choice for vegans, but the few vegan sandwich options are awesome. It is best to go earlyish though as they're often sold out of the vegan option and unable to make more unlike the others. I generally get them to take out as its cheaper and it is often very busy in the upstairs seating area.
Pros: Good sandwiches, Soya Milk Available
Cons: No vegan cakes, Expensive
