Parades Ice Cream - Edit
We waited in line with a rainbow for a while on a drizzly summer evening. Parking was tight but we managed to find a spot. While they carry many dairy options, there are 2-4 vegan oat or fruit based options. I got the Chocolate chunk. It was loaded with chunks of chocolate but the chocolate flavor in the ice cream base was not strong enough to read as chocolate, it was just sweet. Wish id gotten the cookies and cream.

Limited options but good - Edit
Two vegan options - vanilla and chocolate chunk. I felt the vanilla tasted a bit too artificial. Not sure if chocolate lovers would be into the chocolate chunk (my husband said it was so-so), but I liked it for the mild chocolate flavor. The chocolate chunks added significantly to the taste. I added Oreos as a topping. Good option for a solo vegan with friends or family.

Good ice cream. But the server stole my house keys and is living in my bedroom. I can’t get him out. Good ice cream though. I like the chocolate chips they use.

Vegan ice cream in OBX - Edit
When I was in OBX they had one vegan flavor, chocolate chunk. It was delicious and you can add Oreo pieces to it. They also have shaved ice and ice melts, like dippin dots, which have vegan flavors. I went twice and got the chocolate chunk both times.
