Very Disappointed - Edit
This used to be a favourite place for me and my family. Now they changed their all vegan menu to vegetarian as well with the new ownership. Very sad for the animals, the decor has changed and it’s disappointing and the staff and very frustrating. Whenever you ask a question they are weirdly positive and don’t give a real response. The animal table markers are gone too and now it’s numbers😒so sad this was a favourite and we will not be returning now

The food here is good, the cookies are scrumptious and the ice cream was great! The staff have been nice & helpful. The set up is very cute, nice that there is a patio when it is nice. There are a lot of choices to make - but I'd go back again when in the area!

The new owners don't seem to like to answer questions, instead only responding to positive comments. I wasn't even negative, just a simple question, but now questioning whether or not to return.

New owners relaunched this restaurant to be a vegetation / vegan place. Was formerly a vegan restaurant. Tragically sad for animals. Sad for those of us who can only enjoy vegan restaurants.

The last Boon Burger Remaining - Edit
I haven't visited Boon Burger since summer. I used to go to the Burlington location all the time. This is the last one standing. Food is still good under new ownership. The fries are different (not the old sesame fries). But I liked these ones better. Could have had more gravy and cheese. In any case I felt the food tasted just as good as it used to. The server (kitchen staff) are excellent. I believe they are vegan and it's just really nice having vegan staff for some reason...just adds to the vibes.
Read moreI really liked how at Burlington they would always ask you how you liked your food not 5 minutes after you've started to eat and I wish the new owners do the same as well, it would be a nice touch and add to the customer service.

Boon was my go to place when all they had was a small restaurant in Winnipeg. I’m glad they expanded their restaurants and menu options. They have a great selection of vegan comfort foods and decent burgers. They are a bit expensive but the food is high quality

Their food menu is good especially the burgers and poutines. Boon Burger recently introduced new menu items like Chickun Parm which was really good too. Also, Boon Burger is very diligent at ensuring only vegan ingredients are inside restaurant and try to source healthier choices and does things like bake not fry.
Their staff is probably the best I have ever come across in a restaurant. This is why I decided to write this review. I don’t know if they get enough credit for what they do on a daily especially busy peak times. The staff are super kind, patient, and willing to take a lot of time to help you feel better about whatever suits your needs. Thank you so much Boon Burger staff for everything! Gone a few times and will be returning lots more!
Please support this restaurant and be generous with your tips as this is one of those really genuinely good restaurants with amazing hardworking staff! Thank you again so much and I hope you know your hardwork is valued.

Great burgers, and one doesn’t have to think what to order as it’s all vegan, albeit not WFPB (they should try baked fries without oil, just use aquafaba or water to make sesame seeds stick). Cashew cream instead of oil based mayo, that sort of thing 😉

I love all their options! Each can be customizable. Their baked sesame fries and incredible, staff are so knowledgeable and helpful, and their retail items are my fave / especially the vegan ‘egg’.

They have great staples but there’s always changing it up by adding seasonal and specialty dishes. They have a mini grocery section too with some great products for home. I can always count on them around the holidays to make vegan desserts and take along dishes. I got their pumpkin pie & pot pie for thanksgiving, and their Yule Log for Christmas!

I enjoyed my visit. The restaurant itself looks cool and it’s a pretty inviting atmosphere. My burger wasn’t bad but it got soggy quickly. I just know now to get them as a wrap or get a pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed the poutine and I have definitely been back since. So glad they sell vegan products too. Their cookies are amazing but the milkshakes were some of the worst I’ve ever had - really weird taste like it had gone bad.

Love Boon Burger - Edit
Absolutely everything on the menu is vegan! This is my second lunch here and I love it! Tastes just like food made with animals but 1million% better! The staff is beyond great. Both times I have been here it was different employees and they held the same standard of customer service! Excited to come here and enjoy a vegan adult bev with my dinner!

I first found out about Boon Burger on a work trip to Winnipeg and was delighted when they opened up in Burlington. I was even more delighted when I found out it's even better than Winnipeg. Excellent menu - always something new to try. Always too much choice and too big to finish in one go. The soft serve ice cream is a must - even if you can't finish the burger & Poutine
