Wir sind spontan am Freitagabend ins BongoRoots gegangen. Es gab ein veganes 3-Gänge-Menü, welches ein kulinarisches Highlight war. Super lecker!

When I went for lunch they had just one option - the daily meal : tagesessen. It was good but I was surprised at the lack of variety. There was just one option, so if you come on a day when you don’t like the option, you don’t have other choices.

Read moreWir waren am Freitagabend zum Special Drei-Gänge-Menü dort.
Das Essen ist komplett vegan und seeeeehr vielfältig.
Das Menü besteht aus einer Suppe, einer Hauptspeise und einem Nachtisch.
Die Suppe war lecker und sehr scharf.
Der Hauptgang bestand aus einem afrikanischen Gemüsecurry mit Reis, Kochbanane, Süßkartoffel und einem sehr leckeren Bällchen, vermutlich aus Kartoffeln.
Die Nachspeise war ein gemischter Obstteller mit Papaya, Melone, Heidelbeeren, kleinen hauseigenen Schokodrops, Pflaumen, Mangoeis und einer leckeren Fruchtsoße.
Das Essen war super gewürzt und es kamen immer mehrere tolle Geschmäcker in einem Gericht zusammen.
Zusätzlich zum tollen Essen stellt der Inhaber selbst afrikanische Bushman Schokolade (vegan) her, die wir auf Nachfrage umsonst probieren durften. Sie war super lecker und die verschiedenen Variationen sind ein tolles Erlebnis.
Das Bongoroots ist kein typisches in-and out-Restaurant. Vielmehr ist es eine kulinarische Reise nach Afrika, die auch etwas Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Diese hat sich für uns völlig gelohnt und wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
Der Inhaber war super nett und hat uns nach einer netten kurzen Unterhaltung eine seiner Schokoladenspezialitäten für den Heimweg mit gegeben.
Preis-Leistung war völlig in Ordnung.

We can only recommend this great place! The food is extremly delicious and the staff in this small restaurant is also really kind. There is always one plate of the day at lunchtime and the amount of food is more than appropriate for the price.

While reggae music whets customers' appetites for Jamaican food, the staff dishes out plates of the day, heaped with such vegan specialties as red-lentil stew, Caribbean kale, croquettes, and plantains, all on a bed of millet. Soup (pumpkin on the day of my visit) is also available. Everything is tasty, quick (having already been made), and very inexpensive.

Bongoroots also does catering and only serves meat on demand (in contrast to the generic description on HC).
