A bit of a let-down - Edit

I had lunch at Bon Lloc with my mom. The place was nice, very busy. There was no fixed menu. Just the daily one. The Daily Menu was fourteen euros, pretty cheap for a four-course meal. The salad was nice, so was the soup.
But the main course was really a disappointment. I got vegetables with rice, the veggies were overcooked and kinda nasty. My mom got a potato burger, it was nicer but the sauce was also kinda... bleh.
The dessert was nice. It all woulda been great if there was a good main course.
So, yeah. A bit of a letdown.

Excellent - Edit

I was in Palma for a week and was told about Bon Lloc. It was a sheer delight to try it out for lunch, and I ended up going back three more times, for lunch and dinner!

For lunch you have four courses with an option of two to choose from in each course. For instance grapefruit juice or salad to start with, then zucchini soup or pumpkin soup, then lentil pie or baked aubergine, and for dessert a choice between chocolate cake or yoghurt with strawberries. They bring each dish over one by one, so you feel like a queen! (Or king, as it may be.) ;-)

In the evenings you have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, a la carte, and every one I tried was simply superb. Brought a non-vegan friend with me once and he couldn't believe vegan food was this good. He said he didn't miss a thing.

Also, in spite of being busy, the staff are awesome as well. Told the chef once how fantastic her carrot cake was, when i'd just had it for lunch right before they were closing, and she said "Hold on", left the room and came back with another piece to take with me for free! Wow. I probably shouldn't say this or else everyone will want that extra piece of cake, hehe. But just using it as an example to show you how cool they are there. If I lived in Palma I'd stop cooking at home and just go to Bon Lloc every day. ;-)

Pros: Superb food, both lunch and dinner menu, Love their desserts, Awesome staff, even when they're busy

Cons: It's so popular it can get busy. Book a table

nice food but nothing special - Edit

The food was tasty but was over-priced and the portions were small. The staff didn't seem that interested in the customers, a bit like we were an inconvenience. We were also surprised they didn't do tap water, but brought an already open bottle which we assumed actually was tap water as it didn't taste special and we'd actually asked for sparkling. We wouldn't go back

Simply superb - Edit

On landing in Palma a couple of days back we headed straight to Bon Loc for food. While initially the menu looked a little expensive, we were happily suprised to see that during the day they offer 4 courses from a 2 choice set menu for just €14.95. Both the food and the service were wonderful, I always try to be totally honest and leave feedback on something that could be improved upon, but on this very rare occassion, I genuinely can't think of anything. Absolute gem of a place.

Pros: Great value set meal and superb service.

Cons: None

Overrated - Edit

Food is ok, nothing special. Service is terrible as the staff are incredibly unfriendly and seem to resent customers being there. Zero atmosphere as everyone seems utterly miserable

lovely food - Edit

Me and my boyfriend came here on our first night in palma and we were not disappointed with the food. The service was really quite poor and slow but the food made up for it, I suppose it helped us try starter, main and dessert haha! For starter we shared the satay tofu which was very lovely, for main I had the mushroom risotto which was truly beautiful. I miss creamy meals so it really was an all in one for me. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was honestly the best burger he had ever had in his life, better than any vegan burger, meat burger for before we went vegan and all that, he said he was in shock by how amazing it was to tasting as close to meat as possible. Amazing. For dessert we had the apple in filo pastry? I have forgotten exactly what it was called but it was lovely, the ice cream was also amazing. Really lovely meal and will be back when we come back to palma again.

Pros: beautiful food, filling food

Cons: expensive , service is poor

Lunch set menu - Edit

An amazing vegan find in Palma! We came at lunchtime when they just serve a 4 course set menu for a fantastic price of only €14.50. Lots of very yummy options (2 for each course) and 90% of the options were gluten free.

Pros: Tasty vegan food

Cons: Muy caro, Staff borde

Beautiful place. Amazing food. - Edit

Dragged my non-vegan family here last week. The food was amazing and the actual restaurant is really beautiful (and is also located in a particularly special part of Palma). The staff were lovely. My family are ambivalent when it comes to vegan food but absolutely loved the place. My very non-vegan Dad wants to go back on his birthday! Which is shocking but lovely news! I would say that the place is slightly on the expensive side, but (obviously) becomes less so if you only order a main course - something that I will bear in mind for the next time I go. Can't wait to go again!!

Pros: Food, Location , Decor

Lovely waitress - Edit

Day trip to Palma, Happy Cow comes to the rescue. Centrally located, I ducked in and got the impression it was more of a cafe/bistro so grabbed an empty seat. Waitress was very nice so I asked her recommendations. It was the set lunch menu, couple of choices for each course.
All was delicious, but being greedy I would have liked more of everything,
All in all a nice experience.

Pros: All vegan, Very tasty

My wife and I ate here 3 times over a month and loved it every time. The four course menu had 2 options for every course, so we ordered them all and split them. All of the dishes were inventive and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend it highly.

Pros: Wonderful food, Great service, Right in the center of the Palma shopping district

Delicious and filling! - Edit

Bon lloc offers a fixed four-course meal with two options each dish (appetiser, starter, main and dessert). All options were seasonal and delicious. The food was homemade like, honest and simple.

Sophisticated dining - Edit

We loved the inventiveness of the food at Bon Lloc. One of the reasons for eating out at a restaurant is to discover things that you wouldn't do at home and we were delighted. Staying in Palma during a holiday period meant other veggie restaurants were closed and we went to Bon Lloc twice. Both meals were great. As starters we tried the pakoras and the beetroot ravioli - which was real treat and not what we were expecting at all. For mains we went for comfort food and had the seitan with parmentier (mashed potato), and the burger. Both were full of flavours and completely more-ish. Desserts were probably slightly weaker - panacotta; and peanut, white chocolate and passion fruit cake - still very tasty but not on the level of the previous courses. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout (although I do think there is a confusion when they say some items are for sharing: I think what they mean is that this is tapas style i.e. order several to make up a full meal, not that one item is large enough to share which is probably what we understand in the UK). All in all this was great experience. (For a very different rustic country-style of vegetarian food see our review of Es Ginebro in Inca.)

Pros: Very inventive, Lovely flavours, Friendly service

Cons: None

Vegan menu, no-hippie style - Edit

Althogether some 15 starters and main courses on the menu. We (two people) had vegan burger and seitan beef with mashed popatoes. Standard burger and seitan beef. Very tasty mashed popatoes. The main courses were not that filling, perhaps it would be good to have starters as well when dining at this restaurant. Attentive staff. Decent value for money with two main courses and two glasses of wine at 33 Euro.

Pros: Many vegan options., Relaxed atmosphere, not too noisy.

Cons: Rather basic vegan food, nothing that stands out., Annoying amount of lights, for example electric (!

Misleading but yum - Edit

The menu and the waiter's recommendations were rather misleading. she suggested to share the entrees (rather tricky with a soup and also with the 3 raw "ravioli"). As the soup was called Creme we expected it to be a dip which we could share. the mains were also rather on the small side (the canelloni was a single raw cannelono of one zucchini strip, on a small entree dish for 12.50). The salad or tapas could have at least come with some bread to fill you. When we get 2 mains and an entree I don't usually leave the restaurant hungry. The taste was good but not overwhelming.

Pros: all vegan

Cons: misleading menu, tiny dishes

Delicious Vegan Chow in Palma - Edit

Our Vegan family has been here 3 times. Twice for lunch and once for dinner. Service is great. Lunch menu is a fantastic set menu which is written on blackboard. Each course offers 2 choices. Very cool idea, good value @ $14.50, tasty food. Dinner was excellent also, I don't remember exactly what we had but it was all delicious. Wine was delicious too. Look forward to returning for dinner and trying the rest of the menu.
