Bombay Cafe

We went in expecting great food, but this place was below average for Indian food. The vegetables are not fresh, some may be frozen, or more horrifying...canned!!! ICK! I would not use that at home, so I don't expect to be eating this from an Indian rest. The different breads were tough to chew...the gulab jamun was good, but they were out of other deserts. Price was high for low quality food. Would not return...sorry, just did not taste fresh. Oh, and paper plates would be better than styrofoam :(

Definitely a take out place, and a tad on the expensive side, but the food is very good and the people who work there seem very nice. If you can definitely try and make it in for the 7 dollar lunch special, you get choices for different things and it includes dessert. It's a little hard to find if you don't know where it is, but once you've found it you'll have to problem getting back.

Ambiance is certainly not the draw at this location- it looks like a take-out restaurant. We were chagrined to see that they serve on styrofoam, so if you care about the environment please bring greener place settings of your own.

Food was decent, but we've had much better Indian. The paratha was relatively tough rather than flaky, the rice was on the dry side. The yellow lentils were nice with a touch of ginger. The sag panneer was OK with a lemony taste; I found the panneer overly chewy and bland.

It helps to know where to find the cafe-across from the FAU campus and in a hidden strip mall behind the CVS at Glades and 13th.
