Really tasty vegan smørrebrød - Edit
Even though they only have two vegan smørrebrød options, they are really tasty and eating both fills you up.
Read moreThey also had 2 other vegan main dishes which we didn’t try. But I can really recommend the smørrebrød!
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Nice presentation, Nice waitress

Only beans - Edit
When we went here, they had three vegan dishes on the menu and all of them were with beans (a bean stew or soup). Also the vegan menu was entirely in Danish (the other one was also available in German and English). We did not want beans and left after checking the menu. I thought people who go there should know that this is the case as of August 2025.

Cons: All vegan dishes with beans (stew/soup), Vegan menu in Danish only

Disappointed - Edit
We waited an hour from arrival until we received our food, and we were one of just four groups who were at the restaurant at noon - it wasn’t a busy day. When our food finally came, they brought me the wrong dish. Also, all vegan mains cost about 190 dkk, so it was very expensive for something I didn’t even order.

Large portions, authentic food - Edit
They have a separate vegetarian menu where several of the dishes can be veganized. Availability for things such as vegan sour cream seems to vary a bit in Skagen, so ask what can be made vegan on that particular day.
Read moreI tried the bean frikadelles with fries, peas, carrots and veganaise, and I had to come back for more a couple of days later. It's the best dinner I've had in a restaurant in Skagen.
Both the food and the place is very authentic Scandinavian, veganized.
Pros: Huge and tasty portions, Several things to choose from, Has dessert
Cons: Serves meat and fish, Literally fishy smelling

Very tasty and good service - Edit
They have a special vegan menu. We had two different main courses and they both were very good. The licorice ice cream with strawberries was excellent as a dessert. Good service also!

Authentic Danish restaurant - Edit
Does not understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Gave us aioli (with the bread) and merengue (with the dessert) that were not vegan and kept insisting “it is vegetarian so there is no problem”.
Read moreLots of vegetarian options.
Very extensive menu in general, but all pretty basic dishes.

Nice dinner - Edit
As Skagen is a small town mainly focused on seafood, finding vegan alternatives at restaurants can be tricky. After some googling, me and a partner found this place with a couple of vegan alternatives on the menu, where we went for dinner. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, and the food (and wine) tasted really good! The place itself has a traditional feel and nice atmosphere.

Cons: Most of the menu (as expected) are meat dishes
