Not vegetarian anymore!

Unfortunately they are not vegetarian any more.
One of the staff told me they recently changed the menu because the "tourists were asking for meat" :(

It's vegan-friendly though. We had the green curry and pad thai. 60 baht each. It was ok.

Pros: easy to find, spacious

Cons: serves meat

Some foods are great, some are not

I had great sichuan (?) tofu here, it was silken tofu pieces which had well seasoned glass noodle salad on them. I was a beautiful portion and tasted great.

My spouse doesn´t want to go there again, he had russian salad, which was just cucumber, tomate, lettuce and onion (and perhaps corn and carrot). I was too plain. Then he also had fried tofu and it was tasteless tofu inside a fried batter with a dip sauce. There should be some taste in the tofu or batter also, but no.

Pros: good sichuan tofu, good location

Cons: not so good fried tofu, boring russian salad

awesome food, great atmosphere

With a huge range of food styles and dishes, Bodhi serves up some great vegan flavours. Have visited now on 2 trips to Chiang Mai and both times the food was equally great. We had an Indian-oriented feast last night which was authentic, fresh and tasty. Decent portion sizes and not badly priced (though on the higher side if typical Thai prices). The staff are very friendly and courteous and the little searing area upstairs is charming and atmospheric. The only downside was each visit they have been out of items on the menu that I've wanted so I'm not sure if they keep much stock on everything. All up, 100% smiles for a vegan place that delivers the goods!

Great food, nice people + ambiance

I have been only once at "Bodhi Zen", but it is one of the places I really want to visit again.

Everything was just great: the food, the service and the ambiance. The menu is extensive and has a Thai, a Vietnamese, A Chinese, an Indian and a western section. A pity the vegan food is not labelled as such but the friendly staff member who helped me knew exactly which dishes were vegan. She also inquired about my spice level which was quite practical. I went for two dishes from the Thai section, a papaya salad and a curry, both spicy and exactly the way I love it.

The atmosphere at "Bodhi Zen" is peaceful and relaxing. There is also a big balcony, very cozy and nicely decorated.

The prices are moderate.

The restaurant is located right in the city center and easy to find (big signs in English at the entrance which are illuminated at night).

Also, they have free WiFi which is maybe not very "Zen", but quite useful for the traveler.

When I visited the place there were not too many other guests, but I hope this was only because I was very early in the evening. This place deserves to be crowded!

Pros: great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, peaceful + relaxing atmosphere

Cons: vegan options not labelled

Great cozy place

I came for the vegetarian menu and ordered the Vietnamese pho, which although wasn't entirely authentic, it was very delicious and light.

The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home.

Great Potential

This place has just been open for 20 days. Service is good, atmosphere is pleasant, it is on the 2nd floor and you have to walk through a travel office to get to it but it is well marked on the 1st floor outside. Staff was friendly and they promised to have more vegan options on the menu as well as they would be happy to accommodate vegans. Salad was very tasty. They are expanding the menu early next week adding indian food and more vietnamese and thai food. My girlfriend really enjoyed the coconut mushroom soup.

Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Food quality
