Cheap and delicious

I love this place, great vegan Vietnamese food with the greatest price tag. The truck is tucked behind the buildings so it can be a bit difficult to find the first time but we’ll worth it. Great Bahn Mis and Baos. Check hours before going.

Pros: Good food, Great prices, Good service

My fave Vietnamese place!

I wish they were open more days because I am OBSESSED with this place — it’s my favorite food truck & Vietnamese restaurant in all of Austin. I have tried almost everything on the menu at this point and each and every dish is DELICIOUS and vegan!
And it’s run by volunteer Buddhist monks who are so so sweet. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Pros: Super affordable prices, Delicious vegan food, Sooo many options

Incredible food

It is increasingly hard to find reasonably priced (and reasonably healthy) food. Bodhi viet vegan accomplishes both deliciously. I’ve been twice now and will probably go back almost every weekend they’re open while I’m in Austin. The menu is huge, I tried the vegan steak meal with French fries last time (recommended by the woman working there) and it was amazing! Nothing like tender homemade seitan. The golden rolls are crispy and flavorful and the sauce is great. Try the sesame balls for something sweet!

the BEST

If you’re in the Austin area, PLEASE try this place! It is amazing and my meat-eating family members loved it so much they wanted to go back the same day. Not to mention, the ladies running it were so sweet. Everything we tried was perfect. FYI - this food truck is located behind a building with a psychic/hair salon/something else (at the moment) if you’re having trouble locating it. 🌱❤️

So good!

Everything I've had has been exceptional!
The prices are so so cheap my husband and I tend to get 2 appetizers, two entrees, two drinks and least 1-2 new items just to try and every single thing has been amazing. Highly recommend.

Pros: Cheap , Delicious , Friendly

Delicious Vietnamese TakeOut

Everything I expect Vietnamese vegan food to taste like. Knowing it's made by local monks and nuns, it reminds me of food I would have at my Buddhist temple. The food is really cheap at around $6 each item. We ordered two stir fry noodle dishes - S1 mi xao and S7 Singapore noodles. Both delicious - mix of carrots celery and cabbage with thinly sliced sweet salty mock meat. Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy!

Pros: All vegan options, Large menu

Cons: Few open hours, Long lines

Good hidden gem

Very cheap and tasty vegan eats. I had a curry that was fully or flavor and would totally get it again. A lot of the options did appear to look the same or really similar from the pictures, which I don’t think do the dishes justice.

My wife got the spring rolls which were also delicious. She had a sticky rice dish as her main which she enjoyed but not as much as I enjoyed my dish.

Pros: It’s vegan!, Great flavors in the dishes , The volunteers working there are very kind

Cons: No real seating options

Worth it!

I almost didn’t stop here since it was a bit of a hike (not really though...). I am super glad I did, the bahn mi was fantastic. I needed a break from the never ending tacos in Austin and this hit the spot. Cheap and yummy - tip well! They are super sweet.

Pros: Inexpensive , Great staff, Bahn Mi

So good so cheap!

This truck is so amazing! Meals cost 5 bucks, you can get a tasty bahn mi for 3 dollars. The staff is really friendly, evidently this truck is run by Buddhist nuns from a temple in Manor Texas. Almost every item on the menu is vegan or at least has a vegan variation. They claim to make everything from scratch at home. Can't recommend this place enough!

I believe... that the buildings in the truck is in front of MIGHT be owned by the same people. So I think its okay to park there? Parking can be in short supply at times.

Pros: Delicious, Great Vegan Options, Cheap!

Cons: Parking
