Read moreA little bit too expensive in my opinion, we had only appetizers: platanos chips guacamole, falafel, bruschetta, cauliflower croquettes, mushrooms hummus, 2 beers and 2 coffee and the bill was 81€.

A vegan-friendly gem in the heart of Teguise - Edit
Bodega Santa Bárbara earns its place on any vegan’s Lanzarote itinerary. Housed in a preserved old building in Teguise, the space has real character with gorgeous interiors and a sprawling courtyard that comes into its own when the weather plays ball. The menu is well-stocked with vegan options, portions are seriously generous, and the food is presented beautifully. The croquetas, falafel and salad were the standouts, with the mushrooms in the hummus having a satisfying depth to them. However, the hummus itself let the side down as it had a slightly grainy texture. The prices sit a notch above what you might expect. That said, the staff are genuinely welcoming, friendly and clued-up, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Worth the trip.

Lots of delicious vegan options, clearly marked. We had falafels, two kinds of hummus (with beets and with mushrooms) served with fresh pitta. And they have incredible local wine too! Warm, welcoming, super friendly staff.

Ein Ort wo Gemütlichkeit, gute Laune, gutes Essen und guter Wein an 1.Stelle stehen! Es gibt sehr viele vegane Optionen, mein Highlight war der Hummus mit Pilzen und der Bodega Salat, aber auch die Bananen mit Guacamole und die Falafel schmeckten herrlich! Es gibt sogar ein veganes Dessert, Honigmelone-Basilikum-Eis und alles scheint selbstgemacht.

The vegan restaurant in Teguise was unable to seat all 6 of us, so we tried the Bodega and it was fantastic.
