I am so glad we were able to experience authentic vegan Puerto Rican food! I would 100% go again. The only thing is that it was a little tricky to find the restaurant but I’m so glad I did!

Friendly owner and staff - great food - Edit
We met the owner while walking to the location (located on second floor) - she is incredibly kind and inviting, the server was very attentive and friendly - and of course, the food was delicious. Everything is made to order! We had the Mac and cheese balls, cauliflower appetizer, samosas, and tacos. I’ll be going back!

The food here is unreal good. The tostones with jackfruit was just divine. The criollo was so good too. Yum. Everything so good. Donuts were also delicious. Whoever is cooking here really has some incredible creativity and understanding of flavors.

Read moreBut hard to find, it’s at the upper floor of the market place. When we have been there oct ‘21 the escalator was closed. To get upstairs go to the parking structure next the the market hall and use the elevator to the 3rd floor, use the bridge to the market hall and it’s inside to your right.
We had Mac n cheese balls, Nori noodles and Navajo bowl. All made from scratch so plan enough time.

Bokado is my favorite restaurant in Mayaguez!!! The menu is unique and the presentation is photo worthy. The restaurant is situated at the top of a bustling market place which makes for a unique dining experience. They have the most delicious chai too!!
