Popped in just to see what the options were, and walked out with two kinds of buttermilk donuts, which were eggless. Soooooo good! Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
Went excited for a vegan donut only to be told that they ‘decided not to make them today.’ Not sure if this is common, but to save others disappointment…
These Vegan donuts are really great! I tried the Orange Olive Oil and the Sugar & Spice - would totally recommend both. They had a few other options, too! Convenient spot in Venice to just pop in and grab some coffee and donuts!
The donuts here are all too sweet but some people like it. I recommend the cinnamon and spice because they are the least sweet there. My friend Eli who loves sugar enjoyed the donuts there. So if you like super sweet treats go there! :)
They have about 4 or 5 vegan options and they’re all incredible! The olive oil orange one is by far the most inventive and delicious! And they’re only $3.25 each 😊
February 2020 the vegan flavours were Matcha, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Blueberry/Basil/Bourbon, and Olive Oil Orange. In the past I’ve also had a Mimosa one!
UPDATE: I love these so much that I had a friend drive them from LA to Austin for me. He’s not vegan and agreed that the olive oil orange donut is the best donut he’s ever had.
Best vegan donuts in LA. They are around $3-4 a piece compared to whole foods which is like 2 and erewhon which is like 7 and both have wayyy less options. Im telling you this place can’t be beat. They even have seasonal ones for fall and so on
I've had vegan donuts from Blue Star a few times. Just ate some again this week. Surprising on the day we went the vegan variety was quite big (5 different kinds): a green one, a berry one, a dusted one, an orange one, and cinnamon churro. All very tasty. No cheap.

Vegan donuts are cake style. They usually have 4 vegan options. Cinnamon sugar, matcha, blueberry bourbon basil. Wish they had a chocolate one!!
