Vegan sushi and ramen - Edit
They have done so much work on their vegan menu, it’s amazing. I thought I would have to say goodbye to the art and flavors of sushi when I became a vegan, but Blue Bird has blown my mind with their culinary creativity.

5 star vegan options! - Edit
I had an amazing experience here. The server killed it, i wish I could give him a shoutout but i never got his name. He gave us such great suggestions and was very attentive and helpful. The place was packed and he was the only one working and did a phenomenal job.
Read moreI had the vegan ramen and LOVED it. One of the best. I also had a few rolls and they were excellent, very similar to real fish sushi.
Will definitely come back :)
Pros: Great service 👏🏽, Amazing ramen 🍜 , Realistic sushi 🍣
Cons: Where’s the saki 😜🍶

I’d rate it a 5/5 if this app would let me! Do yourself a favor and try the jungle roll if they have it... it’s my favorite! Tofu Lover’s was tasty as well.

So good! - Edit
Upon seating, they ask if you want the vegan menu, which is extensive! They have various rolls as well as ramen. We had the popeye roll (it was okay), the tuna nirvana (best vegan sushi I have ever had), and the creamy ramen (best vegan ramen I have ever had... but the charge .50 for spicy). The service was wonderful and quick on a Saturday night. I highly recommend!

I love this place - Edit
Some of my favorite vegan sushi, and they keep expanding the vegan menu! I'd give 5 stars if I could.
Read moreThey have buy one roll, get one half off on weekdays and just started doing it on weekends from 1-4, so if you go at the right time it's a great deal. They also bring miso soup as a starter, I've never left hungry.
The chef and staff are so nice and like to share new vegan concoctions, they have brought out new things for us to try a few times😄
Make sure to try the Vegan Tuna Nirvana, is fantastic!
Pros: Vegan Tuna Nirvana, Full vegan menu, Vegan Ramen

Expanding Menu all the time - Edit
I have a wonderful experience at Blue Bird every time I visits. The sushi is fresh and the menu options for vegans is expanding all of the time. I’ve come here with non veg/vegans and we all have a good experience with the service and the food. Be aware the location is small and there might be a wait. Parking isn’t incredible, but it’s not uncommon for Long Beach eateries.

Amazing Vegan Sushi - Edit
There is a full vegan sushi menu separate from their other menu. Highly recommend the Vegan Tuna Nirvana and Vegan Strawberry Frenzy, but everything we get there has been amazing. 10 out of 10!

Excellent sushi for everyone - Edit
A tiny place, but loved the ambiance. Sure, it gets a little odd having your seat right at the door as the line gets bigger, but I love that this is a popular local place, like a badly kept secret😄Both the vegan and regular sushi was awesome, and there is a "get one get half off second" deal that you should definitely go for. The vegan items have their own menu and are so much more exciting and innovative than the measly one or two standard ones you get at a sushi place. The portions aren't huge though so one of the dishes isn't enough, and with the mouthwatering choices, it's hard to decide on just two anyway.
Read moreMy first dish came out and I dove right in, I forgot to take a picture of it. They're beautiful and very tasty. I would love to eat the entire vegan list! While the service could use improvement (it seemed there was only one person when we were there and she was clearly swamped) this place is definitely a lovely night out. Not the fanciest and not the cheapest, but well worth it. Support a wonderful small local business.
Pros: creative sushi dishes, vegan menu, delicious!
Cons: a bit pricey, parking, but that's everywhere LB, might have a wait, get there early

Good, but lacks variety... - Edit
All the vegan rolls are pretty much the same with just a slightly different topping or sauce. Taste good, but just not enough creativity or variety.
