Niet bijzonder en duur - Edit
Dit was mijn 2e bezoek aan deze tent. Jaar geleden ook geweest. Ervaring was in beide keren hetzelfde. Ik had de vegan & glutenvrije pancakes gekocht. Voor beiden geldt een toeslag van 2 euro. Dat is sowieso prijzig per toeslag, maar in mijn geval zou dit neerkomen op 4 euro extra. Gelukkig na wat onderhandelingen bleef dit beperkt tot 2 euro. Ik vermoed dat het glutenvrije beslag sowieso vegan is, en dan zou er geen reden zijn om 2x 2 euro extra te vragen. Ondanks de beperkte toeslag zijn de prijzen toch best flink te noemen.
Read moreIk kan alleen oordelen over de glutenvrije variant (die op basis zou zijn van boekweitmeel), maar heel bijzonder smaakt het niet. Redelijk flauw qua smaak. Ik heb betere glutenvrije pancakes gegeten. De toppings zijn echt nodig om het op smaak te maken.
Duurde ook een tijdje voordat mijn eten kwam, ik heb zo'n 20-25 minuten gewacht.
Personeel is vriendelijk, inrichting is leuk gegaan. Wel klein en weinig tafels, dus het zit snel vol.

Yummy pancakes - Edit
I really liked these pancakes! I had the ones with banana, blueberries, strawberries, walnuts and shredded coconut. You can add as much maple syrup as you want. There’s was an option to make it vegan for 1.5€ extra, but not sure if it would work with any of the other pancakes because of the toppings like cream cheese and meat ect. I would ask next time, but the ones I chose were really good! Would come back. They had oat milk for coffee. And free ginger shot if you write a review anywhere

Best pancakes in town! - Edit
Sooo delicious!! Sweet, fluffy, filling, satisfying!! I think I have tried all the vegan pancake options in Groningen and this is by far the best. The friendly waitress explained that the vegan pancake options include "The Blue Bananas Stack" (€14.00, banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut, walnuts, maple syrup), or "The Real Deal" (€9.00, leave out butter, just maple syrup). Optional to add banana/strawberries/blueberries for an extra charge. Always specify vegan so they use the vegan batter! Note that the chai latte is NOT vegan, they use a powder which contains dairy!

Tasty pancakes but 1.5 euro surplus should go - Edit
The pancakes here are really delicious and you can add maple syrup in quantities to your liking. The place tends to be a little bit on the expensive side but the portions are okay. I think the 1.50 surplus for vegan pancakes should go as that seems very steep. This also is not very welcoming for vegans. I would go here again if the vegan surplus is removed.

Pancakes are a good portion size and delicious. Maybe make more vegan pancake options on the menu :). Ice tea here is also amazing!!

Nice pancakes, weak tea - Edit
Groenigen is a sleepy town for breakfast and post covid a lot of the opening hours are not up and running yet. Few real breakfast choices at 9am on market day! Pancakes were nice although the only option. Why charge more however? Plenty of maple syrup at least. Toilets up a flight of stairs. Tea a classic “style over substance” : could hardly get into packet, then weak in diffuser pot. Ended up eating the tea leaves too.

Delicious vegan pancakes - Edit
The vegan banana pancakes with fresh fruit and walnuts are delicious! Really fluffy and a good portion size. The terrace, interior and staff are nice too.
