An experience - Edit

Just how good is Blonde's? Well, we have a mate who will occasionally cycle from Sheffield for breakfast at Blonde's and then cycle home. That's a 160 mile round trip. But let's face it, where else can you get a vegan fish finger and mushy pea panini? Or foot high freak shakes? Or a muffin for your dog? Blonde's is an experience, not just a cafe.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

absolutely love this place! - Edit

Entirely vegan, even down to the cleaning products! The BBQ pulled not pork took me back to The USA with the added feel good factor that it was ethically sound and much healthier, everything I've tried has been fantastic, from the healthy smoothies to the decadent desserts and all the wonderful savoury food

Pros: Everything

Cons: it's not open 24/7 😂

Best vegan place around!!! - Edit

Blondes offers a huge menu so let's start with the drinks menu ranging from coffee, teas, freakshakes to smoothies to the best hot chocolates list you'll ever see!
And the food is suitable for all eaters they have mock meat alternatives for paniniis toasties wraps you name it, they have jacket potatoes, they offer breakfast menu then do burgers, chilli, curry it's a vegan dream! So nice to go somewhere and not just have falafel and hummus, prices are very reasonable
I'm obsessed with the club sandwiches they do!
And NOW CAKE you'll never see vegan cake like it it's unreal! Glittery Cheesecakes rocky road Eton mess brownies shortbreads custard slices rainbow cakes and so many more all yes all vegan!!
It's a family run shop which also sells lots of gifts and animal related products, all the tips go to help animals in need in Europe! What else could you want I highly recommend this place
Oo and not to mention they recently got a vegan fridge full of cheeses mayo etc to buy!
I love it here!! ✌

Vegan Food as the Normal - Edit

This lovely cafe makes vegan food feel perfectly normal and mainstream, as it should be. Having seen it on HappyCow my wife and I made a diversion from Durham to Hull. I had never heard of Cottingham before but I will return to visit Blondes again. An excellent find with lots of choices. Great to see it thriving.

Pros: Excellent food, friendly staff, totally vegan, lov

Cons: Nothing to criticise but the cafe is on the small

Lovely but snug! - Edit

This is a lovely little family run cafe which has recently gone 100% vegan which is a great move! The milkshakes and coffee are always lovely and the food has always been pretty good but it would be nice to see more healthy, plant based options on the menu rather than the fake meat options (but that's just my personal preference). The cakes and sweet treats are great and lots of fun for kids too. My only negative is that it's all very cramped in there and it's almost half cafe/half shop, selling things like mugs and notebooks. It makes the cafe look very hectic and messy and it's not somewhere you'd go to to relax with a coffee, the place is already small so it seems a shame to use that space for items which can be bought elsewhere in Cottingham. But overall I love Blondes and always visit when we are in Cottingham and often go out our way to pop in for a brownie!

Pros: Friendly staff, Good value, Gluten free options

Cons: Small seating area

Lovely place - Edit

I visited this lovely place all alone after a work meeting in the area. I was so excited that I could choose anything at all on the menu and it could be made Vegan. I had a panini which was delicious and chose a couple of different cakes to take home. This is my most local vegan eatery so I will be back soon.

Sugar coma!! - Edit

Been here a few times now and my partner and I love it. I love the chilli nachos with vegan cheese and think I've had it every time so far. Everything on the menu can be veganised. The cake selection is huge and 100% vegan. Other half loves the 'freak shakes' a frankly frightening stack of sweets/ cake/ syrupy goodness on top of an enormous 'milk'shake. Indeed the cake selection is so big we end up overeating! Always have a choice of several fake milks which is great if like me you're not a big soya milk fan. All tips are donated to a dog rescue charity in Romania which is lovely. Cafe is dog friendly too! Various gifts and cards for sale as well as leaflets about veganism. The ladies that run Blondes are always super friendly too. A firm favourite of mine!

Pros: Brilliant food, Brilliant service, Brilliant place

Cons: None

fave place - Edit

Blondes is my number 1 place to eat as a vegan in Hull (or anywhere). All of the food on the menu can be served as a vegan option (most of it is vegan anyways) and they have the best selection of cakes ever!!! It's dog friendly, which is also a bonus as there are always cute little dogs sat in there. I love it here!

Fantastic cafe with all menu items available as vegan if requested. Really tasty home cooked food with a varied menu. Had two sausage sandwiches, a brownie and an Xmas log plus two lattes for under £20. So good we went back the following day.

Brilliant Cafe & Bakery - Edit

I visited Blondes recently and had to go again. There are plenty of vegan options at a brilliant price (a huge Oreo brownie for only £2.25!) and they're all absolutely delicious. The cafe is quaint and clean, and the staff are helpful. Everything is labelled clearly as vegan if it is. Also dogs are welcome and they sell dog cupcakes! Well worth a visit if you're in the area. I'll be looking forward to trying the savoury options, if I can hold myself back from the cakes. :D

Pros: Many vegan options, Fairly priced, Clean cafe with polite staff

Cons: Nearby parking is difficult, walking needed, Quite small so can get crowded at busy times
