* ligging: niet al te ver van CS, vlakbij Nemo en museum H'Art (vroeger: Hermitage)
* restaurantje waarvan je zeker weet dat je er terug zult komen

* bevindt zich in Amsterdam, niet in mijn eigen woonstad, zodat het nog wel even duurt voordat ik er weer zal zijn

Fantastic fully vegan and gluten free restaurant - Edit
Bloem is a super quaint little restaurant with friendly staff and fabulous food. I was so happy to find somewhere where I could eat literally anything on the menu. All 3 courses were delicious and I would happily recommend it to anyone. I went with a non vegan colleague who also really enjoyed his meal and said he’d go back next time we visit. #Veganuary

Bloem serves delicious, vegan, gluten-free dishes combining different cuisines and flavours. We had the Indian pancake and the Roasted Oyster Mushroom. You can taste the freshness and quality of ingredients. I would have given 5 stars, if the place was a bit tidier and cosy—but that is purely personal taste.

Absolutely my favourite eggplant sandwich! Wow, full of flavour, dressings, and vegetables. Very clear they put a lot of care into each dish!

We found it by Happy Cow near the Microbe museum and it is really cozy in front of one channel. We asked two different vegan bowls and both were delicious. The only thing that could be better is the existence of a option of the menu in English😄

Read moreI had the grilled vegetable sandwich and their homemade curcuma/lemon lemonade. I loved the earthly flavour of the lemonade combined with the slighly spicy cashew creme of the sandwich.
The atmosphere is really down-to-earth, friendly and informal. This doesn't seem like a hipster place where people come to show how 'cool' they are by dressing up like they're in a movie and endlessly posing for pictures. Just sit down to chill, eat and enjoy. I like that... a lot. :)

Bloem does tasty inventive vegan food, some unusual combinations that really work. Really enjoyed it but wish some of the elements were a little fresher. Friendly staff and nice location away from the madness of centraal.

One of our favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! Last time we had grilled vegetable pastry, sweet potato wedges, falafel salad, beets & shiitake and the espresso pana cotta, and all were delicious! Definitely recommended!

Went here a few times. Last time on a double date. Between the four of us we tried most of the menu. Some dishes stood out more than others. We loved the vegetable lasagne for instance. Friendly staff and nice location. They also have a nice lunch menu.

Turned up yesterday for an early dinner but the kitchen actually closes between 4-5:30 so I was denied a feeding. I sat down in the outside area and had one of the homemade sodas. Absolutely perfect spot on the edge of one of the quieter canals in a more suburban area of the city. People were accessing the water here to swim so it was still busy but calm. Menu looked great, will return.

I went in for lunch and had the pumpkin soup and the aubergine sandwich. I honestly wanted to love it because it’s organic, glutenfree which is a big yes! but both dishes were way too spicy for me. I love spicy food but this was a bit too much unfortunately. Although it really was flavourful i just couldnt finish the dishes.. I will come back next time I’m in Amsterdam and try to go there for dinner as they have such great reviews and the pictures look incredible😄

We had the three course menu, for €35,00. The starter with the vegetable paté was good, but a bit too cold. We had three different main courses and desserts. We liked the mains the best. Lots of greens and good quality ingredients. The frozen pie was a bit like a smoothie, the applecake was a bit high on the spices.

This was really disappointing. €20 for a main and it was tiny and lacked flavor. My friend also said her meal wasn’t that good. I’m glad we passed on the appetizer and dessert. I just don’t get why restaurants think they can charge this much for mediocre food. I guess they might get tourists but not repeat business. It has a bar/cafe feel so not sure why they are trying to go for fine dining.

Agree with the previous review. 3.5 star it is. Portions were small. With such small portions and high prices, I normally expect some level of meticulousness and innovation. I feel like this concept doesn’t fit this cute informal place.
