Nice, filling meal

This is a chain that offers burritos, tacos, and similar food, with a portion of the menu dedicated to vegan offerings. The food is inexpensive, the portions are large, and the service is pretty quick. The clientele when I went seemed mostly people in their 20s, either hanging out with friends or on casual dates--this seems to be their target audience. If you are hungry and want a tasty filling meal, this place is pretty good.

Pros: Filling, tasty, Not expensive, A bunch of vegan offerings

Cons: Not health oriented

Nice New York spot

terrific veg and vegan options. Not fake meat but tofu and tempeh.

Pros: Tasty, Portion a good size

Cons: Service is hit and miss, They push the boozy drinks (a plus for some??)

Check out the lunch special

Blockheads was interesting experience for us as I like fresh cilantro/corriander and my partner can't eat it (it tastes like soap to her). We understand that Mexican cuisine is likely to contain this, but sometimes it is added at the end and can be removed easily.

The vegan options are extensive and they all sound delicious, so we tried contacting the restaurant before visiting to ask if there were any vegan options that didn't have cilantro, unfortunately they only replied after we had visited, but they told us they could definitely make something without cilantro, sadly that was not our experience at the restaurant. The only thing my partner could eat was the vegan quesadilla, with no salsa or vegan sour cream as they both contained cilantro.

If you are a cilantro lover, you will be pleased to know that the veggie options like tofu, tempeh and seitan are marinaded in it and the beans, rice, vegan sour cream and salsa also contain it.

There is a separate vegan part of the menu and it all sounds delicious. We were lucky enough to catch the lunch special, which is $10 and includes an extensive choice of main meal and free soft drink, although we wish root beer had been available as one of the choices.

Our waitress was lovely and was very patient while checking with the chef about our options.

Both our meals were tasty and with more cilantro free options, both of us would definitely return!

Pros: Great value, Huge servings

Cons: Cilantro in everything!

very tasty

There was a lot (like 5 or 6) different things that was vegan and they all sounded so delicious! I got a burrito with vegan cheese, beans, rice and butternut squash and it was so good. A bit spicy though but that was expected ;). I would definitely come again if I could!

Pros: nice staff - good service , nice atmosphere

Cons: the music was a bit loud
