Delicious food with a charming atmosphere

Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu. Offers a wonderful falafel plate with flavorful falafel, vegan tzatziki, hummus, veggies, pita. The crunchy power bowl sounds amazing as well, I would love to go back to try it. Highly recommend this place, the first floor atmosphere is incredibly charming.

Pros: Solid vegan options , Charming atmosphere, Friendly staff

Great Date Night!

They had lots of vegan options clearly labeled on the menu. The menu changes seasonally and the farm to table farms were listed by the door. We enjoyed our food and drinks! The love music tonight was very enjoyable as well. We will certainly be back.

Great food

Bleuroot is very vegan friendly. The server will know all of the options available on the seasonal menu and if they don’t the chef are accessible for confirmation. The food is really good, and you know its quality. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally from near by farms.
Both chefs/owners are really nice and will come out to your table to ask how you are enjoying your meal.

Kinda expensive. Not too many vegan options. My vegi burger was just okay

Went with my mom for her bday. Probably won’t go back. My burger fell apart and her pasta portion was not huge for the price. Small cup of soup for 5$ each was the best part. And two vegan desserts are offered there

Pros: Cute decor, Clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan options, Live music and good drinks

Cons: Expensive, Not much vegan, Vegi burger was mushy af

Very Vegan Friendly

We had a really great experience - our waitress was even vegan! First of all, they have everything that can be made vegan marked on the menu. Second, even if it's not marked you can ask about it. For example, the 3 flavors of hummus we had were not marked vegan on the menu, but we asked our waitress about it, and they were able to make a swap to make the whole thing vegan, and it was really delicious hummus! The food was all very fresh. We had the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. Fries were especially good. And my favorite part of the meal was dessert! A cream/frosting filled chocolate-covered chocolate cake! The vegan dessert options vary, but that's what they had the night we went - so good! The desserts are made by a lady in Elgin who does allergy-friendly stuff. I would definitely go back especially to try the other substantial vegan dishes on the menu, and I'm curious to see what's on next season's menu since they switch things up twice a year. The portions were also decent for being a bit of a fancier place.

Pros: lots of vegan options, very vegan friendly, beautiful, spacious atmosphere in historic bldg, good food, good portions, vegan dessert!

Cons: not 100% vegan or vegetarian, a little price-y, booth was really uncomfortable (but really cool)

Excellent, Fresh Food

I ordered the Veggie Burger with sweet potato fries. So fresh and delicious! Can't wait to come back, especially with Craft Coffee and Donuts down the street.
