One of the best vegan pizzas - Edit

Really happy to have found this place. Friendly staff, nice selection of beers and toppings. The “byo” concept allow you to create your own special pizza. They have vegan cheese and most staff members ask if you want them to change gloves before touching the vegan cheese. If they do not ask, just ask them to change, they will do it and apologise that they forgot.

vegan cheese pizza yes - Edit

Ate here twice when I came to NOLA from UK. Very impressed, nice fresh pizza. Quick friendly efficient service. And unlimited toppings! The daiya cheese melts and the best vegan cheese I've tried. Nice cheap option in a expensive city

Pros: cheap, tasty, fresh

food and service just ok - Edit

I was happy to find a place that served vegan pizza. You can choose your own toppings, including vegan cheese. My server asked if I wanted her to change gloves. I said she didn't have to but appreciated the question. They burned my pizza on first attempt but said they would redo it without me having to ask. I wasn't in a rush so did not mind. It was also kind of funny because after one employee cut my pizza another asked whether I wanted a vegan cutter. Again, nice to know they care though the execution was a bit off. As far as the taste of the pizza, it was nothing special. The crust was good but the other ingredients were a bit bland. Still, I was happy to find a pizza joint that clearly thinks about vegans.

Pros: Vegan ingrediants, Nice crust, Inexpensive

Cons: Service well intentioned but a bit chaotic, Toppings nothing special

pretty good - Edit

My vegan-cheese pizza was fine.
And after two days in New Orleans, the most vegan-unfriendly city I have experienced in North America, I was very happy to eat every bite!

Pros: It's vegan and this is New Orleans

Great late-night vegan-friendly option - Edit

It was 9pm and I was starving, finding everything else closed on Labor Day. Blaze Pizza was outside of the French Quarter area in a downtown type district, but worth the drive. I've never been to a place like it, it's sort of an assembly line like a Subway where you go through and pick your ingredients and they add them right there. There's only one size crust but it's perfect for a single person. I ended up with red sauce and vegan Daiya cheese only, because their toppings area was messy and there was gator sausage (yup) in the fresh basil container which turned me off. But they had a ton of great toppings options and there's no extra charge so you can get as many as you like. The pizzas are thin crust and oven fired, so they come out in only a few minutes and are super crispy. I gobbled mine up, it was so delicious I contemplated having a second one! I was so thankful to find delicious food in NOLA late at night, I'd highly recommend giving Blaze a try.

Pros: Vegan Daiya cheese, Delicious customizeable options, Open late

Cons: Cross-contamination of ingredients, On-street parking only fills up quickly

Friendly and Delicious - Edit

We built our own pizzas and enjoyed all the vegan options, including vegan cheese. Pizzas were delicious, and the staff was very hospitable.

Pros: vegan options, friendly staff, beer

Cons: not much on atmosphere

Finally Gourmet Wood Fired Vegan Pizza - Edit

Wow here is a place that finally gets it. Vegans want to eat pizza too. There are countless vegan toppings on the menu. This is a casual place where you can build your own pizza and they make it in front of you. Think of the Chipotle of Pizza. The classic red pizza sauce is vegan and they actually have Daiya on the line. Inform them you are vegan and they will change their gloves and use a fresh pizza cutter when your pizza is done. They offer finishes to drizzle on your pizza as well. They have barbecue sauce, pesto, and olive oil. Pizza is done in 5 minutes.
