Excellent Flavorful Food - Edit
We had the vegan rasa basically a huge tasting meal for two. Everything was delicious packed with flavor. I’d eat here often if I was local. Dishes were clearly marked veg or vegan.

Ze hebben een groot aanbod van vegan opties en een complete vegan rijsttafel. Wel garnalen kroepoek gekregen, maar meteen een alternatief. Sommige dingen waren erg lekker, maar het meeste had niet veel smaak. Prima eten maar nuet erg bijzonder.

We had the risolles vega and the vegan rijsttafel. All dishes were very tasty and well-prepared. The service was very good and friendly. A real recommendation if you want to eat high-end Indonesion food in Utrecht.

Lekkere rijsttafel, service jammer - Edit
De vegan rijsttafel is erg lekker, maar was teleurgesteld over de service. Jammer als je vooraf aangeeft veganistisch te eten én de vegan rijsttafel bestelt dat je kroepoek gemaakt van garnalen geserveerd krijgt, bij navragen werd beloofd dat er een alternatief zou komen maar dat kwam nooit. Bediening was wat gehaast en krap tafeltje waarbij we letterlijk in de kamerplant zaten. Lekker gegeten maar voor hoe goed dit restaurant bekend staat, prijspeil had ik eigenlijk meer verwacht en heb je in Utrecht leukere alternatieven.

I treated my mom to dinner here a few days ago and we had a lovely experience. We’d mentioned that we were vegan and they switched out the complimentary krupuk for emping without us even having to ask. Obviously, we had to go for the rijsttafel. It was not cheap, but you get a large quantity of food. It came out really fast which was nice. Most dishes were really tasty and the only thing I was missing was lontong, but that’s just due to personal preference. We did not like the sayur lodeh and another cabbage dish I forgot the name of; they were quite bland. My mom and I both eat Indonesian food very often as my grandpa was born there, so maybe that’s why our expectations were very high. We agreed that the food was delicious, but not exceptional Indonesian cuisine. But it’s great that they have a fully vegan option and we enjoyed our meal. I would definitely recommend it if you haven’t had Indonesian food as often as we have and you’re looking for the full “authentic” experience this is the place to visit!

TOP rijsttafel - Edit
Blauw heeft nu een volledig vegan rijsttafel. Een tijd geleden hadden wij het hier opgegeven, maar tijdens deze herkansing blijkt dat de keuken een hele fijne update heeft gehad. Alle vegan gerechtjes zijn echt super! Met 38euro pp voor een rijsttafel is het ook nog eens redelijk betaalbaar. Wel moet het management iets doen aan de werktijden. Als je nu een tafel reserveert om 17u-19u (via tijdsslot) en je komt 5 minuten eerder dan is dat uitermate vervelend voor het personeel en dat is natuurlijk merkbaar.

A small choice of vegan dishes but I went for the vegan rice table and the flavor was outstanding. But the total amount was quite small. The choice of drinks is limited if you don’t drink wine. Sadly no outdoor area. The restaurant is small and can feel a bit crammed.
