We were asked right away if we needed a vegetarian menu! Even had a vegan dessert choice! No gluten-free menu, but the server was quite knowledgeable. Food was fantastic.

From sandwich and tacos to unintentional salads - Edit
It’s a cool looking place with outdoor seating. A decent amount of menu options. I got seitan tacos, the Mrs got a seitan cheesesteak.
Read moreHer sandwich was big yet overstuffed with more peppers and greens than seitan. It came with fries, which quickly became a bit soggy from how much liquid (oil, dressing, marinade, etc) leaked from the sandwich. The bread split in half from how much was coming out, and of course that got soggy too. The fries were the only thing she could really eat besides a few picked out chunks of seitan, and the fries looked much better than they were. Seemingly handmade, had some salt and herbs on them, yet tasted like nothing.
The tortillas on my taco ended up being those tiny, [censored] little kind and not a bigger sized tortilla as I was told. For two tacos, I think they could’ve gotten some bigger tortillas and added on a side or something, as there was just a small amount of picked onion (and some greens IIRC) with the big chunks of seitan. I seemed to have more seitan than her, yet it was less food overall due to the size of the sandwich and how much was on it. The big chunks meant I could barely hold the tortilla around everything, so it was messy too. It’s somewhat to be expected with tacos, but it still seemed like it could’ve been better managed. Even just making everything into 3 tacos with the same small tortillas might’ve helped.
The seitan tasted good on both, but overall it way too much of a hassle and wasn’t nearly enough food. Had to get more soon after. I’m sure they could do better with just a few improvements, but this lunch was not good.

Best vegan options! - Edit
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. My husband is an omnivore and I’m vegan, and we both were happy. There were four or five vegan options and I was amazed. I chose the Bao Buns with seitan and some lightly pickled vegetables. The glaze was perfect. And the serving was 3 sandwiches. So good!

Guys- this vegan lemon risotto with crispy artichokes was the highlight of my trip. My non-vegan family was fighting over my food. You have to get there and try it!! Service was a little slow but I’ll forgive them because nobody else in this town has a separate vegan menu. Samosas are also totally worth the hype.

I just got back from lunch, and I'm thrilled and delighted this quality of veg and vegan options are available in rural southern Delaware. I ordered the French Lentil Salad with a small portion of the dressing (they referred to it as light dressing). I also asked for the vegan option with Caponata instead of goat cheese. It was fresh, flavorful, and filling - all I could ask for!

We stopped by on a road trip because we saw seitan on the menu, and we were not disappointed! We split the seitan tacos and the seitan cheesesteak. Both heavenly, vegan soul food. Not healthy—but we weren’t looking for healthy food today. Tacos were yummy, messy, a little sweet, and good size. Cheesesteak was buttery, melts in your mouth, what a cheesesteak should be—so good! Were happy!!

We chose this restaurant for the advertised vegan menu however once there were only given the option of the veggie burger or a salad. I asked if the veggie burger could be prepared separately on foil or in a pan due to allergies and was given a rude dismissive attitude from the waitress. She finally did check with the chef and I received a dry tasteless veggie burger with no condiments. If you are going to advertise vegan please be prepared to properly cook vegan

Nashville seitan was awful. It was rock hard and very rubbery. I'm pretty sure the bread had real butter. Curry and the veggie burger are your best bet here.

I loved this restaurant! They had a separate vegan/vegetarian menu with lots of great meals, including substitutions. I got the feeling that they really understand vegans and are happy to accommodate. I had their French Lentil Salad for lunch, which was unique, delicious and filling. It was a little pricey, but I was ok with that as I rarely eat out

Great options for everyone! My mom really liked the lemon shrimp bisque and we both liked the French lentil salad and the crispy eggplant tacos. Very cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Would give it 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed it for restaurants that aren’t strictly veg.

We come to Ocean City every year. Love to see more places offering vegan options. We ate lunch here today and all of us really enjoyed our meals, especially our 6-year-old who absolutely loved his mac-n-cheese. Our waitress was great as well. We will be coming back to this place for sure!

Not only was the salad I ordered delicious, but there are multiple types of seitan and small plates, and multiple options for completely vegan entrées. My husband had the veggie steak and I had some serious order envy. Even our toddler devoured the vegan Mac and cheese. I was also excited to see the mocktails! Several options were listed and all were delicious 😋

Many vegan options & friendly staff - Edit
This place is about 15 minutes from where we were vacationing in Ocean City and was a very pleasant surprise! Berlin is a cute little town with many boutiques and restaurants and the Blacksmith is right off the main drag with ample parking. The lunch menu had several vegan options that were clearly marked and the wait staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Lunch was so good we went back for dinner a few days later and enjoyed ourselves all over again. Would definitely recommend!

Great Vegan options - Edit
Great local restaurant with multiple vegan options. My kids and I loved the veggie burger (no cheese, no sauce and sourdough bun). My husband enjoyed the samosas and handmade pasta. We will definitely eat here again. Ask for the Vegan menu. Its not online but it is available if you ask for it.

We enjoyed our lunch at the Blacksmith. The server was very knowledgeable about vegan options. I ordered the samosa and also the roasted veggie tacos, the day’s special. Both were delicious and accompanied by lovely relishes. Other options were crispy eggplant tacos or sandwich and a veggie burger. I guess I need to return. Sadly I live 600 miles away.

I was happy to discover (via HappyCow) this spot in the picturesque town of Berlin, MD. They are very veg/vegan friendly and are flexible with customizations. I had potato samosas, black lentil salad, and a roast veggie hoagie. All were very good. The waitress mentioned that they have “Meatless Mondays” every week including raw, vegan cheesecake. Mmmmm...

Would have stopped here anyway because it has at least one vegan option. They don’t have the Beyond burger or crumbles. Had the vegan tacos. Interesting. Kind of sweet & sour ish, with capers. I think the cauliflower was cooked in butter.
